"I have been calling for 2 weeks to try to schedule a BIOPSY for my husband. I am constantly leaving messages on voice mails and calling the “desk”, only to be told they can’t see anything and they’ll “send an email” to inquire further. I work alongside the entire cardiac surgical team at advent. I have NEVER seen a level of incompetence like this. I am on hold with them now, yet again, to try to schedule a BIOPSY. Horrific experience. I’m just speechless."

"Long hold times on the phone and results seem to NEVER be forwarded to the primary care physician. Patients should avoid this location at ALL COSTS. Just look at the previous reviews and management seems to have done nothing to remedy the situation. They simply do not care. This is what happens when two monopolies (Advent and OH) control a city. Update 06/13/2023: The bumbling representative in the billing department had no clue what she was talking about. I then asked to speak to the manager and was put on hold for going on 30 minutes now. I think this person thinks that if she leaves me on hold long enough that I won't get a chance to speak to the manager. The Winter Park office is abysmal. If they can't perform the most basic of tasks in an efficient manner then why should you trust them with your health? They must call themselves "faith-based" because it takes a miracle to get anything done."

"GET A REAL PRICE FROM YOUR INSURANCE FIRST!!! AdventHealth has several imaging centers around CFL, most are separate centers from their hospitals. We have AWESOME insurance and normally pay $40 for ultrasounds (my wife gets one or two a month). There are two AdventHealth imaging centers across the street from one another in Winter Park. One is in a standalone building and the other is within the hospital. My wife has always gone to the standalone. On this day the appointment setter selected the wrong location for my wife so when she arrived at her normal destination, they informed her that she was scheduled in the outpatient center. My wife clarified the OP center also takes our insurance, so she thought nothing of it until we received a bill in the mail from AdventHealth for $2400! For ONE ULTRASOUND! Just for a frame of reference, AdventHealth charges our insurance $500 for the same ultrasound service at one of their standalone centers. Thank goodness our insurance covered most of it. Turns out that because of the location inside the hospital, AdventHealth will charge your insurance for an outpatient procedure (like outpatient surgery) which falls into a completely different insurance bucket than going to a standalone imaging center. At the end of the day, insurance said it was our responsibility to have the foresight to realize the difference between the sites and next time get a quote from the outpatient imaging service upfront. We paid $500 for the mistake."
