"Wish I could give a 0 star rating. The owner Dotty, is extremely unprofessional and became very defensive when I asked for a babysitters references that she was providing to care for my child. After having a negative experience with another sitter she had sent to my home in months past, (the sitter was contacting me behind the owners back/ without the owners knowledge, charging a higher rate than that of what the agency quoted me and began giving sub-pair, lazy care to my child that did not fit the standards of care that I had previously laid out to Dotty and the babysitter)- as I had already had a negative experience I discontinued using Homestaff services. The owner sent me a letter around thanksgiving, thanking me for my business in the mail and also asking if I needed care and although I thought the letter seemed a bit desperate I called attempting to give Homestaff a second chance. It should go without saying to someone who owns a childcare staffing company, but I guess it was not clear that parents want to make sure their child is safe with the person whom would be caring for them and coming to their home, the concept of my wishing to speak with references was foriegn to Dotty and made her become defensive as if I were insulting her granddaughter and not a paid employee, She became angry, unpleasant and EXTREMELY unprofessional. I will never use this agency and am glad I dodged the bullet of having strangers with zero references or credibility to show in my home or near my child. PARENTS PLEASE SPARE YOUR EFFORTS AND ENERGY, DO NOT HIRE DOTTY/ HOMESTAFF SERVICES."
