"They are (SCAMMERS) I purchased a gap waiver two years ago back in 2022. My car was considered a total loss in 2024. I called in to create a claim. I’ve sent them everything they needed and they was doing everything they can not to accept my documents that my insurance was sending me. They never return calls or emails to notify you on the update. I had to reach out several times just for them to say they can’t accept an official document I was receiving from my insurance. I call in they say it take up to 72 hours for a response which was a lie. Mind u my claim is already a month old practically waiting for a response. After a week of not hearing back I finally call in just for them to tell me they can’t cover the rest of the money I owed on the car. Which was around 1200$ if I ever purchase a car ever again I will never purchase anything that has to do with this company ever again and will let anyone I know that is thinking about it not to so they won’t make the same mistake I did. (IF YOU ARE READING MY REVIEW DO NOT I REPEAT DO NO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY I WOULD LITERALLY GIVE 0 STARTS IF I COULD) I never ever take the time to write a review but I need the world to know what they are getting themselves into"

"Edit 2/15/24: I just had a rear differential replacement on the same car (2015 Yukon XL - it's not been a super reliable car) and had the warranty claim through GWC approved. This one took about 3 days to get approved. Of the $2900 repair, I was on the hook for $600. Again, because of the labor rate differential below, and I'm guessing some fluids and other parts not covered. Overall I've had 3 claims filed and 3 claims approved by GWC so I'm happy with them. Keep maintenance records, including a log of exact mileage, and always get your services done within 1000 miles before or at the exact recommended service interval based on the car's life. I had a $5700 repair, that GWC covered $3850 of. It took about a month for them to approve the claim. The difference was that the service contract covered $115/hr labor rate, and the shop charged $170/hr. It's definitely not a scam by any stretch of the imagination but they can be difficult to work with. I did all of my oil changes by myself and did not keep a service log and they would not accept my AutoZone receipts. I think it's stupid to assume that I'd buy $50 of oil without actually changing the oil but they wouldn't accept anything less than a service log."

"Absolutely horrible. Three and a half years ago paid $7300 for this warranty. Have a problem in our Range Rover with coolant at 70,000 miles. GWC almost covered a third of cost. Four weeks later in the shop for add coolant again. Had white smoke and oil in coolant. I had to tell shop to tear down motor @ $6500. Per GWC. If it's not a warranty item. I have to pay. Found crack in engine block and blown head gasket. Only way to find these issues was the tear down of motor. All these covered under plan. GWC denied a new engine block. But will pay for head gasket. Head gasket is $14,000 +/-. They approved to pay $5,800 of the $14,000 and denied paying for the tear down. On a covered item. GWC wants dealer to put head gasket in and warranty for 12 month or 12,000 miles. With a cracked engine block! No shop will do that. Ethics GWC?? This sucks. It happens. Thought I had a warranty. I have hired an attorney and will keep you all posted."

"I have had my car barely a year and half and there are mayor issues with the motor. Their “no worries just drive” is a lie. My car has been in the shop for over 4 weeks now with no work even started because the warranty company keeps pushing back to the dealership for more “proof” repairs are needed. It’s honestly ridiculous I have paid thousands of dollars to protect my purchase of this vehicle and I can’t just drive it because the warranty company is taking so long to even approve the work needed to be done so I’m making monthly payments on an non drivable vehicle that I paid 4k for a warranty to prevent this. Absolutely would not recommend this warranty company to anyone."
