About the Business
Chambliss Center for Children, located at 315 Gillespie Road in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is dedicated to providing a stable and supportive environment for all children. From high-quality early childhood education and childcare for children as young as 6 weeks old to housing and case management for youth who have aged out of foster care, we strive to meet the needs of every child in our care.
We have partnered with Tennessee nonprofit Isaiah 117 House to offer support to children entering foster care in Hamilton County. Our pre-approval training program, TN KEY, equips potential foster parents with the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive impact on the lives of children in custody.
As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1872, our mission is to enrich the lives of children, youth, and families in our community. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent or learning more about our programs, please contact us at 423-693-2580 or email [email protected]. "The summer camp is awesome but when it come to the infants room the staff are very careless I will not recommend putting your baby in the care of Chambliss center care at all"
"Levasia Green was extremely helpful and professional with assisting me with my needs for childcare. When you find someone who not only does their job, but cares it means a lot TODAY. Thank you"
"Chambliss is the best. The administration and case workers are wonderful. They take pride in supporting their foster parents and making sure the children receive great care. We've been fostering through Chambliss since 2017 and couldn't be happier."
"Incredibly disappointed. I give two stars because I know without a doubt that the two (semi consistent) teachers my child had in the 8 months, loved on my child tremendously .That's where it ends. Staffing at our daycare and enrollment was a daily gamble and rotating door. We were closed for days, months and weeks at a time. There was no communication from the director about a plan except for the times I reached out specifically seeking answers. Our lead teacher (s) were often left to “ figure things out” on their own. Every response from Chambliss was vague and I ultimately left when I was informed that due to every child dis-enrolling; that we would have to cover tuition for children who left the daycare making it impossible to afford ( tuition that is usually split 4 ways, now covered by me)$$$$. Do the math. The check at the end of the week seemed to be their only concern. So disappointed In what could have been a better experience."
