"My partner went into this shop while waiting on an order from Enzo. At checkout the card reader asked for a tip, which she declined. The cashier, seeing that she had declined to leave a tip, tapped the tip jar on the desk. An incredibly uncomfortable interaction: We both tip when needed, even if we depend on tips ourselves to get by. Quite honestly, this doesn’t seem like an appropriate environment for tips. We won’t be back to this store. Being pressured to tip is not okay. If employees are that desperate for tips then the pay must be horrible, which is also not okay. The cloud 9 down the road is much better and the staff help without expecting extra."
