"This place has a great selection and friendly knowledgeable employees. 5 stars!"
"The staff is always helpful and friendly and they never try to sell you something you do not ask for or need."
"Looks like they let go of their only worker who hasn't given me problems everytime my friends or I go in. There's always a guy sitting on a stool on his phone ignoring you unless it's to scoff at what you're purchasing, as a woman. I don't know any women who want to buy "toys" from a man who mocks them to their face. There's also a man with a cop mustache who's consistently rude to not only me but to other people who have had a similar experiences. I can't see this place surviving another year with the staff it has."
"I am extremely disappointed in the customer service exhibited by the mohawked manager at this location today (8/6/23). Being long time fans of the original location, we have been shopping there since they first opened the Calhoun store and although we have since moved away from the area, still stop there whenever we are in Calhoun, showing loyalty over similar businesses nearby. Yesterday I stopped in and made a purchase. The transaction “didn’t go through” the first time and I was directed to run my card again, which I did. I left and went about my day only to find out later on that the.charge appeared twice on my account. Simple issue; these things happen. I got in touch with my card company and was told if I didn’t want to file a dispute, that I should bring it to the merchant’s attention and let them reverse the charges. This is where I encountered the problem. I dropped by the store to address the situation. I am a very easy going guy and I began my discussion with that energy. From the minute he entered the conversation the manager was condescending and stuck to his narrative that he needed confirmation that the charge wasn’t still “pending” from my “actual bank”. I told him that we were on my “actual bank’s” app and that pending charges, like those of a gas pump, say “pending” and I get a notification when the charges are amended. He was obviously confused. I am an Uber driver, and although one can have other banks linked to the Uber app for payouts, the app I was showing him was that of the Uber Pro card which is an online banking entity. I conveyed this information to the manager who instead of trying to resolve this $18 issue (which was due to the error of their system, not any mistake I made) he insisted that I would have to prove to him that the charge was no longer pending. He continued his condescending tone and I left the store. After taking a couple deliveries for the day, I called the support number for the card and the agent confirmed that no charge “pending” would still be on the card over 24 hours after the transaction. I called the store to relay this information and hopefully save myself a trip back to Calhoun. Mr Condescending Super Manager got on the line and told me it would take more time to prove the charge was no longer “pending” and that he wasn’t gonna waste time arguing with me. Then as the tone on my side got a little angrier at the blatant disrespect he was showing me, he hung up on me. No apology for the inconvenience and time wasted and no suggestion that he take any initiative to look into the issue. Over 18 dollars. Any service business I have patronized or represented would put the customer first and handle the problem. Instead he lost his company a loyal customer that shops at all their locations and gained a detractor that will urge all my friends to avoid This That & The Other because their service is less than adequate. 8/9- UPDATE-still no response from This, That & The Other on any inquiry from the bank or return call either."
