"I enjoyed living in Anaberry Forest. Very spacious bedrooms and master bathrooms. I had new appliances and carpet walls painted when I moved in. Also a lot of closets and walk in closet. The neighborhood was quite friendly neighbors. The maintenance were excellent and got to you in a timely manner. The landlord was super helpful with me moving into the area. I will miss the neighborhood."
"The awful reviews on here about Martha are true. She is a flake and constantly gives the run around. She is also very rude."
"Decent prices but the lady that shows the place continuously gives the run around about availability. She tells you check back in a month or 2 months and then still never has anything! Very frustrating."
"The duplexes are cute from the outside and a good price, but beware. The insides are straight from the 80s and have never been upgraded. In our first week, we found tons of giant cockroaches in our duplex and within our first two weeks, had our upstairs toilet back up into the floor, producing a giant, cascading waterfall into the hallway and kitchen below, even going into the lighting fixtures. Maintenance came in and turned the lights on immediately (what the hell?). Then, they just replaced the padding (leaving us with smelly sewage carpet for our entire year there) and put a blower on it. I expressed concern over molding in the woodwork--they dismissed me out of hand. We were also chastised for not adhering to our agreement to use Rid-X once a month, despite only being there for two weeks at that point. Later, a bunch of squirrels got into our chimney. We opened the vent and escorted the younger ones out, but an older one did not survive and slammed down in our fireplace. I called the office to ask for a removal, but was just asked if I could remove it myself. When I said I'd prefer not to, seeing that it was dead, I had no equipment to, and it was bacteria-ridden, I was asked if I could just use a shovel and trash bags or if I could just keep it there until tomorrow, further being asked if it smelled and "how dead is it?" I hung up with the office and called another leasing office for where I currently live and love today. I started counting down to the end of my lease about four days into the lease. my spouse can testify that I complained about the stench, the old carpeting, the fact that no level of cleaning could make the home look clean, the terribly small and outdated kitchen, and the TONS of American cockroaches almost daily. If you are low-income and this is your only choice, I am very, very sorry. You deserve better for your hard-earned money than a place like this. I was just in the market for a good deal and felt awful for my neighbors for whom this was their only local choice. Stay far away if you can manage it."
"We stayed there for 10 months. We needed a big space so we were glad we find a big duplex to fit my wife and I and my mother in law. We were not allowed to see the actual apartment only after we signed the contract. Even though the apartment the office manager Martha C showed us was clean and in a good looking shape, the apartment we had was very old, bad smelling and in 10 months we had a lot of small bugs inside. After we bought a house we asked to leave and we had to pay $768 penalty because we did not stayed 2 1/2 more months until the end of the contract. Martha C had a very unprofessional behavior when we went to give the keys, even she made my wive cry. Even though in the 10 months we stayed there Martha had a "smile face" all over because we were the customers, after we cancel the contract, she became hysterical because we asked questions regarding the fact that we had to pay another $50 because she said that we did not bring the keys of the apartment on time. She started screaming to pay $50 if not she will put on our credit. She behave very unprofessional. The apartment we had, even though it was big, it was horrible. I will not recommend Anaberry Forest apartments to anyone."
