"Well, I Just Took Residency In Monroe Pl Apartments, In December 2023…And All I Can Say Is, “It’s Been An Awesome Experience”!!! When I First Went Thru The Application Process, The Staff-(Ms. Ivone & Ms. Lynette)-Were Extremely Helpful & Professional With The Process…And Explained Everything Clearly. My Apartment Is Awesome, The Complex Is Awesome…I Have No Complaints About Living In Monroe Pl Apartments…And Have Recommended Them To Several Friends. If You’re Looking For A Quiet Place To Live…Hey, Monroe Pl Apartments Is That Place!"
"Lived here over a year now. The location is very convenient, very close to highway 85, 75 and 400! However, there are issues you should know. It took them almost a year to fix a gas grill! I had to think they just don’t want to provide the propane! Another big issue is the old AC units near the bedroom window. Asked them to fix but was told those units are just old, there was nothing they can do! This is a relatively old apartments, over 30 years I guess, so there were a lot old AC units. If you are sensitive to noise, be aware of this. There are a lot pets here. If you like dogs around, that’s fine. Just be aware. The floor is very thin so you will hear a lot stepping noise. Chose top floor if you want quietness. Added: The only way to receive packages is paying for fetch. And Fetch’s service is pretty bad. If you ever loose a package or it is delayed, it will give you headache."
"I've lived here for 6 months and wanted to share an honest review that I will update after my full lease term. For me the pros outweigh the cons, primarily because the apartment is nice, bright, and not depressing inside. Pros -The office floor plan and the amount of light in the unit from huge windows is what attracted me to this place. The 1BR units that have an office are a little larger and less box-like than typical one bedroom apartment units, and it's a nice open floorplan for working at home. -In unit W/D -I live on the top floor and have never seen a single roach or bug in my unit, which I love. -Rent is relatively affordable for what you get and for the location. -Even though reviews have complained about the landscaping, it seems like they're almost done with the work and I think it looks really nice. -I haven't had any issues with the valet trash. -For me maintenance has always been very responsive, like within 2 hours. -Community is quiet and people keep to themselves. -Easy to pay rent online and in an app. Cons: -Don't count on the fitness center as an amenity that will replace a gym membership for you. The fitness center is extremely small with limited equipment (no barbells), and it wasn't air conditioned when I was using it the summer. If working out is important to you, don't think you will save money on a gym membership by living here. -You are forced to use Fetch for package delivery, so if anyone accidentally sends a package to your actual apartment address and not your Fetch address, it will be very inconvenient for you. You'll have to go to UPS Customer Center in Doraville to pick it up. Fetch itself has been good for me, they lost a package once and refunded me the cost of the item. -Water has been shut off about 2 times since I moved in, and it's been a while since that happened last. Reviews saying it's all the time are not true. -It is gated and the gate has broken down about 2-3 times in six months but is often fixed within 12 hours depending on the time of the breakdown. However, I was told by people living in ATL that this place's gate works more consistently than other similar complexes' gates."
"Absolutely do not move in here. I lived here for almost 2 years and they just get worse. The rent is cheap and the location is central but that’s about where it ends. They take weeks and sometimes months to fix maintenance issues; my dining room was flooding from January to April of this year every time it rained and they took forever to fix the issue, constantly lying and just patch patching up the area before they finally fixed it once my downstairs neighbor started to complain because my apartment leaking was now leaking in their unit below. The water shuts off constantly for “emergency repairs” with no forewarning; at least twice a month. The landscaping company comes once a week, but somehow the place is still always dirty and dug up on the walkways. You pay for forced package delivery and trash but the trash only gets taken up when the trash company feels like it; sometimes trash is sitting outside for two days and it’s not worth paying for trash pickup ($25!) because the dumpster is less than one minute walk from your apartment. The pool is small but adequate and the “gym” is literally a storage closet they converted next to the leasing office. I had to move out early due to a new job, and in addition to paying a one month termination fee, I find out AFTER the fact that they also take your security deposit for early termination even though that’s nowhere in my lease. The prior management team was horrible (they forgot to put my keys in my apartment after I drove 13 hours to get there) and this new team just seems nonchalant. They “hear your concerns” but still do nothing and continue to engage in predatory practices."
"RUN and don’t look back if you want to have a peaceful life. We have been living with a rat inside our apartment for over a MONTH!!. Have filed several maintenance requests and they have done nothing to fix the issue. Management response was to call to ask if we really have a rat, like if we are telling lies and then proceed to say that pest control will be here in three days (which was a long wait but we said ok) but that visit never happened. We filed the report again, just to have another appointment set up that again was nonexistent! It is very frustrating to be ignored specially with these major issues that are a huge threat to our safety and health. Additionally, now we are dealing with humidity and mold in one of the bedrooms, and they are just trying to gaslight and say this is not a big issue, but look at the pictures and judge for yourself. Management is useless and they tend to discriminate or at least that is how I always feel whenever I set foot in the leasing office, considering every time I go they do not listen and the issues in my apartment are never solved. All the pictures you see below have been shared with the leasing office without any action from their end. Please do yourself a favor and do not even think of living here."
