"Bad attention, when you call to fix something broken in the apartment it takes up to 10 days and when you spend a day of paying the rent they charge you a surcharge at that time. It's cheeky and the manager knows it and pretends not to know anything. It is very dirty around, roaches, the apartment when live changes color, everything begins to break and etc. not recommendable."
"Stayed for a year. Roaches? You're gonna find them in EVERY apartment in Atlanta. But luckily my roaches were kept to a minimum. Didn't experience much crime here considering Gwinnett County PD has a high presence, but you will hear a gunshot or two every now and then. Had an issue or two with fighting neighbors. Can't help that however. Didn't have any maintenance issues. The biggest bright spot is Junior. If you're interested in staying here, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you speak with him. He doesn't do the salesman pitch and gives it to you straight. He doesn't just stop communicating after you move in. He checked in on me every month I stopped by to pay rent to see if I had any issues. Relatively good apartments, but Junior makes it better."
"I recently moved in and I am happy with this complex so far. I think for the price and location, you cannot beat this location. I love how large my one bedroom apartment feels. The screened in porch is my favorite spot and I never see them at other complexes. If you are thinking about moving here, ask for Junior. I would give him ten stars if I could. He is friendly and good about getting back to you with responses to any questions you might have. I am not always the most patient person with my work orders, but Junior has been sure to take care of everything with a smile and follow up with me. He is a fantastic example of what quality customer service should be. EDIT: Two months in and my laundry room door has not been replaced. I have now put in a total of FOUR work orders. How many do I have to place for them to be completed. Two months in and I have noticed no DECREASE in the amount of ROACHES I see in my home. I worked in pest control for years. There will always be roaches in apartments, however, I should not be seeing 60+ a day. EDIT TWO: The roaches are still awful, possibly worse. The staff is rude and doesn't call back. Their website to pay rent is down and they tried to say they were going to charge a late fee if I didn't turn it in today. I am sorry, but if Star Residential is the problem. they should be the ones to eat the fee, not the tenants! I can't wait to leave this place. I am tired of seeing countless roaches every day. I am pregnant and and asthmatic. My health means nothing to them!"
"Great price, good location, and friendly staff. There seem to be a few issues from a walk around of the property but most of those seem to be due to negligence on the tenants part. These are the cheapest apartments around, so I won't act as if everything is perfect, but you get what you pay for, and i was looking to save money compared to the 1100$ a month "luxury-upgraded" apartments in Brookhaven. These even come with more space and amenities! Love the screened in patio."
"DON’T MOVE HERE! The upkeep of the entire community is horrible. First of all the breezeways are always dirty, debris, beer bottles, etc everywhere! Pests are an issue. When you contact leasing office they seem to not care. I’ve been here 2 1/2 months & I already can’t wait until my lease is complete. VERY loud, this community is by no means “quiet”. Loud music, loud talking, walls are thin, you hear everything. I can even hear my neighbors washer going through the walls when I’m in another room! Of course the entrance & leasing office are kept nice & clean but this is unacceptable for what I’m paying I should have updated appliances! Upon my move in, I had to get a new sink in the bathroom & in the kitchen a new faucet, new screen on my patio, not to mention broken blinds in the bedroom (that have yet to be fixed after calling weeks ago). Let me not forget a HUGE hornet nest that has not been knocked down (its INACTIVE) so why are maintenance holding on to it?? There’s always never any parking spots. There’s walking trails everywhere, how can this be safe? There should be more lighting in the community. You can certainly tell that there haven’t been any renovations here in a while, everything is out of date. The only good thing about living here is the location and the closed in patio (that I never sit on because it’s always loud and it always stinks outside because of debris) ESTATES 1700 DO BETTER."
