Rheem does not charge a warranty processing fee, we, as a Rheem distributor, charge that fee to non Rheem contractors to offset the cost of processing the warranty paperwork and the cost of shipping the defective item back to Rheem. Rheem contractors are not charged that fee and we would suggest to any customer, that they contact a qualified Rheem contractor for any Rheem repairs, whether warranty or otherwise."
