"If I could give it less than one star I would. I went to this establishment for the second time this past Saturday. My first experience was right after Covid the young lady who helped me was very pleasant. I took my son in on Saturday and the lady who met us at the front desk area was on of the most unpleasant people I’ve met. She already knew she didn’t want us there before I said a word. I wanted to get my son ears pierced. I understood they would need identification as he’s under 18 but I read reviews and they were positive interactions especially with children. I was told I need my son’s birth certificate which was fine honestly bc I only lived a few minutes away. I advised no problem I’ll can get that. I actually thought it’s good that they are careful. This was not the end however. I was then advised if my son’s last name and my last name doesn’t match I would need further identification. I stated that’s fine as we have the same last name. I was then informed that bc my maiden name is probably on his birth certificate they will need my marriage license. This is while there are people the waiting room and my son is staring curiously. I found myself explaining that I was married to his dad we have the same last name my husband is a retired veteran so I also have a military identification. For no reason was this necessary there was only one difference between me and everyone else and unfortunately it was the color of my skin. I have never wrote a review in reference to this but this is why she did not want our service from the beginning. She said it’s the Health department rules well I checked them out. This is not so. The birth certificate yes but all the other things was just racism in the form of discouragement. What if I was a single mom, divorced , remarried with a different last name ? How much would it have taken to get a simple ear piercing. I would rather she had simply said no? I didn’t ask the lady’s name bc I felt myself getting angry and it was best that I left properly because in the end we are all responsible for our own actions. So to the slim blonde lady with the dark framed circular glasses. Thank you I grew as a person Saturday bc of you. I practiced what I teach my son that was watching and I controlled my response and walked away. Your ill intentions made me “ Be the change I want to see”. I have friends/ colleagues of a different race with rave reviews and pictures on your fb page. It’s ashamed that the amazing artist there are unfortunately represented by you as the first person “ all people “ encounter. I think it’s best to add that none of the requirements/ requested documentation is on their website. It would be helpful for people intending to patronize this establishment. I read the reviews and reviewed the actual website before coming."
"Alyssa is literally amazing. She did an absolutely beautiful piece on my chest and provided me with awesome conversation while she worked on it. Highly recommend this place!! Thank you so much for my new favorite tattoo!!"
"All three us of getting tattooed last night had a great experience at this shop! I got an old tattoo refreshed and my wife got a matching tattoo with her sister. The vibe was great and the staff was super friendly! Since we are currently on vacation we had some youngins with us and we were all accepted in the waiting area. I would definitely reccomend this shop."
"10 stars. Alyssa has done artwork on me previously and was fantastic. After the tragic passing of my brother, and siblings flying back home across the country, we were on a short time crunch. I called and spoke with bones this morning at 10am and let him know the situation. He told us to be there at 12am. Bones, Sean, and Adam had 6 of my family members beautifully tattooed in less than 2 hours. These people are so kind, precise, and caring. 10/10 will recommend to everyone I know."
"UPDATE: After a month I went back to see Bones for a "touch up." He told me ahead of times it's best not to "overdo" some details. It's easier to come back and touch up than to try to "undo" it. The touch up was outstanding and best of all, there is no charge for touch ups! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I chose Freedom for my first tattoo at random, and because of good online reviews. I had my own design and Bones was great about working with me to fine-tune and refine my concept. I knew the photo I chose (of my grandson catching his first fish) was a challenge. I was nervous about the final product, knowing that once it's there - it's THERE! But I'm super happy with the end product. Thanks Bones!"
