"Just left my first appointment and I am thrilled to have found an expert in curly hair! Marie did a fantastic job listening to my ideas for what I’d like my hair to look like, and then she had the skills to make it happen! I highly recommend her!"

"I booked a “first time deva cut and coaching” session with Marie. Marie sent very specific instructions that I followed prior to my appointment. My product makes my hair “crunchy”. It’s in her instructions specifically to not have any stiffness in your hair when you arrive. My hair for our appointment was in a 2A type state and with mouse I can achieve a 2B curl of course with some straight pieces that don’t want to curl. Marie berated me on the state of my hair from the moment I walked in. She even said that people that don’t follow her directions get their appointments canceled and lose the deposit. I explained to her that I booked a COACHING because I really don’t know how to handle my hair and was at the point of wanting to chop it off. She continued to be cold and negative and it was obvious she felt that I was in the wrong. It wasn’t until I was in tears and told her she was ruining this experience for me that she slightly changed her tone. I’m only giving her 2 stars instead of 1, because once she saw that my hair would curl she actually started coaching me on how to style it with the correct product. Ultimately, don’t book with Marie unless you already know how to style your curls and you come into your appointment with them in perfect condition. I debated posting this review because I thought maybe she was having an off day, and my hair made her “job harder” as she said. Then I saw others who had similar experiences as me."
