"Went to this smokehouse bbq spot after being highly reccomended by an aquaintance. Midsized bldg in the middle of nowhere off hgwy 136 up towards dawsonville. Turns out the bldg is 90% kitchen with just a small sales counter. Never judge a book by it's cover seems very appropriate! Quick service upon ordering, meal not premade but custom cut. Homemade everything! The deserts are omg so good you won't want to share. The baked beans are hands down the best I've had in the countless bbq places I've visited. My brisket dinner box was so tender and delicious! Definetly make the drive to pick up this bbq. This is a pick-up only location, no table service at all rigt now."

"This is one of, if not the best, bbq place in North Georgia! I've eaten here twice now, and it never disappoints. Everything tastes homemade, and the bbq is so good it doesn't need sauce. "You are in for a treat in the north Georgia area if you enjoy good, hickory smoked BBQ meats. It is worth the five minutes to get off GA 400 and head down Price Rd. GA 136 to the Hall / Dawson County line and stop at Smokin' Mike's Meats. I love to smoke meat at home and will always believe my rubs and smoking technique create masterpieces of culinary delight. But, I also have to give respect to other people who are pit masters who have a passion for making the best, mouth-watering meat ever tasted. Mike has my full respect and following. When you pull into the parking lot, the scent of the hickory and meat smoking will immediately have your taste buds watering. Once you walk inside the door, you are met with a serving counter filled with different selections of meat. The staff working inside are all great and will even offer samples when they can. Now, your biggest decision is what you want to choose. You will find Mike, the owner, working behind the counter, cutting meat, washing dishes, or tending to customers. He creates a welcoming and friendly environment and experience not found in most places. The menu selection changes daily, so stopping often is recommended."
