"Great brewery with a lot of beer choices."
"On our way home from a trip visiting county seats (up to 119 of the 159 counties in Georgia) we travelled through Columbus and stopped in here to sample some of their beers. Though we live just outside of the Atlanta, we've not been to the Scofflaw brewery in the city. And while I have Scofflaw in the can before, I'd not had a chance to sample it on draft so was looking forward to it. I wasn't disappointed. This is a great space in a repurposed and re-modeled the old Uneeda Glass Building in what is now termed the Midcity Yards that also includes Moe's Original BBQ and Fetch Park, a spacious outdoor "bark park". There wasn't anyone else ordering when we walked in so we were greeted right away and had a chance to talk about the beers with the beer tender and get recommendations. Scofflaw serves flights of SIX 6oz pours, so I knew we would only be able to do one flight. Just like the brewery itself, we focused on the IPA offerings, assuming those would be what they did best. Interestingly enough, the one non-IPA we had, their Winter Warmer, I rated the second highest of the six. I typically use Untappd to track the beers I've had as well as my thoughts about them. I try NOT to look at the global rating of a beer until I've sampled it myself. Sometimes my ratings are higher, sometimes lower, but most often they track pretty close to the global average. That was the case with the six we had except for the Paddle Fight, Scofflaw's collaboration with Tampa Brewing Company that I liked significantly more than the average, and the Hooligan, which my impression was so off from the average I think something was either off with the line or the keg itself - consequently I didn't even rate that on Untappd. I hope I get a chance to try that again and see if it was just my taste or something really was "off". In any event, we certainly enjoyed our stop and heartily recommend folks stopping in."
"The barely 21 inexperienced crew are pouring pints in plastic 8oz cocktail cups, charging 8$ for a 4oz pour with no indication on their boards and are utterly clueless in the world of beer is leading this place to be a full on disaster. This place is a passover, just got the the one in West Atlanta if you want half decent service and a intelligent conversation."
"Humongous space, which made a good reuse of an industrial/mechanical part of downtown. Spin-off from an Atlanta brewery, which still hasn't actually started to brew at this location as of Nov 2023. But a solid variety, including bold, hazy IPAs (including some from a friend's brewery). No food, but barbecue is next door. Lots of free games, too. Cool."
"One of the best, new establishments in town. The brews are tasty and very creative (my fav, the Transfusion). The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The bartenders are knowledgeable. There are even games to play and plenty of tables that you can utilize for gatherings or socializing. It's definitely a must try!"
