"We were looking for the quintessential friendly diner spot to get breakfast on the road and we found it. It was after 11 (the breakfast time cut-off) but Tami made an exception for us. We ordered the western omelette with all the fixings and the breakfast plate with over-easy eggs, what they call tater tots (their version of home fries), and country ham. The omelette was oozing with cheese, peppers, ground beef, and yet the egg was thin and delicate--served with a side of silky hash browns. The full breakfast came with a buttery warm home-baked biscuit, and the ham was deliciously briny, the taters scrumptious, and the eggs perfectly executed. When Tami noticed our dog in the car, she emerged from the kitchen with a foil-wrapped biscuit and bacon. The coffee was bottomless. Next time we're driving through Tennessee we're definitely stopping again!"
"It's a wonderful hometown diner. It's the first time I've been since they changed hands was renamed. The food was excellent. The waitress was nice as she could be. Kept a close eye on all of her customers. Our tea never went empty."
"We are world travelers and this is in our top 10! A huge burger that took me back to the 70s when homemade and quality were on the menu. My Dad had the ham. The Mac and Cheese was lite and delicious. The Cole Slaw was southern sweet and finely grated, which is a timely step. Oh, and the huge delicious biscuit. The service was warm and precise. Everyone should try Ruby's!"
"Would like to give a 4.5 stars. Parking was very limited, had to wait for someone to leave to park. Was clean inside, but hazy from smoke from kitchen. Ordered founder dinner with fries and slaw. Food took a while, but arrived hot. Fish and fries were good, slaw was not. It had a weird texture with how tiny it was chopped. We did leave very full."
