"The service was great and had a very homey vibe to the place. Felt like you were walking it to your granny's house to eat. The price was a tad expensive considering we didn't get much. The total on the bill was 35 bucks. My son loved the sausage biscuit & cheddar rounds. My wife enjoyed her grits & BEC sandwich. My eggs and my ham were great. My hashbrowns were kinda soft , and I'm picky I like mine a little crispy, but they were OK. The biscuits and gravy I was not a fan of at all. I'm super picky about biscuits and gravy, though, also. The gravy was bland, as can be honestly, and it tasted like really dry, which sounds crazy. But it almost tasted like their was too much flour or whatever dry ingredients they used in it. Other than the gravy & the hasbrowns being soft, it was overall a nice little spot to eat breakfast. I would for sure give it a shot if your in the area"
"Food was excellent, well priced and plentiful. Staff was welcoming and attentive. It’s a bit crowded but not so much that one cannot maneuver around."
"Great little spot that is surprisingly big. Huge piece of country fried steak. Great bacon cheeseburger. I'm sure everything is good. Oh don't forget the cheesecake that tasted homemade. Everything was great and the people were friendly too. We will be going back again."
"A nice little place off the Hwy. Google maps will take you around Phipps Bend, but it's right off of 11W as you're heading towards Kingsport. Sign can be seen from the road. Sweet as can be waitresses. The food was delicious - just wish the greens were fresh instead of canned. The twisted taters was something neat and tasted like potato wedges. You can seat yourself. Plenty of room. Restrooms were clean. Booster seats and high chairs available for children. They have crushed ice for their drinks, so that was awesome! The booth's springs are almost poking through the seats, so it was kind of uncomfortable most of the time. The entrance is odd. The outside door opens outwards, but the next door opens outwards as well, so it was hard to get around and through - especially with other people coming out or going in. Would definitely be hard to go in and out for someone in a wheelchair. Overall, it was a good experience for our family. We will be back!"
"Country style eating with no frills. Waitresses work hard to keep customers happy. Drinks never run empty, including coffee in the daytime. I recommend the beans and cornbread. It's not the sweet cornbread you get in a city, it's the real kind that is supposed to be served with a meal. The vegetable soup was loaded, almost to the point of being stew. The burger is a good size, and they have a double burger you can get it you need something bigger. Furniture is not fancy, but works. Most of the seating is booths for 4, although there are a few tables for 2 or 6. If you are from out of town, this is Americana as you would find it in any friendly county. I was invited here by some locals, I would definitely return."
