"Don't get the tenders , It was trash. Was thinking fried tenderloin since it is a "soul food" place . But just cheap bulk frozen tenders from Sysco. Better off going to Publix for tenders ,Mac and cheese and fries"
"Most Of The Staff Has Little To No Customer Service Skills - Most Staff Are Missing The Warm Greeting, Lack Attentiveness, Lack Personality, NO MANNERS!!! Too Much Back And Forth Between Servers & Customers. Every Time You Come In Its Different Answers To How Things Are Done Or The Way Food Is Served/Ordered. This Is A Faith Based Restaurant And Employees Should Be Held To A Standard Whether They Profess The Faith Or Not. The Turnover Rate Is Very High, That’s Unfortunate. - The Food Areas(Service Line) Could Be A Little More CLEANER & Organized To Give A Better Presentation. The Sweet Older Lady (Atlantic) That Takes The Orders On Most Sundays Is ALWAYS polite. The Light Skin Guy (Atlantic) With Dreads And Durag On Is Always On Point. The Short Light Skin Lady (Atlantic) On The Line With Accent Is ALWAYS On Point. - LANE AVE NEEDS TO BE NICER, Smile, Look Happy & Be More Polite. The Younger/Older Generation Needs To Be Taught To Focus On The Customer You Are Currently Serving. Be Polite And Handle All Circumstances With Some Decorum. Minimize The Side Bar Conversations. If You Are Not Having A Pleasant Day DO NOT TAKE IT OUT ON THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SERVING!!!!!!!!! And Lastly They Need To Express More Positive Vibes While Serving. Greet! Smile! Be Personable & Polite! Lastly Thank Your Customer. You All Have Great Restaurant BUT If The Staff Is Not Bringing Their A Game Then It Will Continue To Have Complaints And Not So Good Reviews."
"Food is top-notch soul food. I was confused about getting there, but it's in a small strip mall. It reminds me of how Piccadilly operates. There wasn't anything memorable about the service but nothing bad either. This is the only place I get oxtails. It's pricey but good with a large portion. The rest of the meals seemed pretty affordable, but I know oxtails are high everywhere. I usually eat for lunch and save half for later since it's so much. Definitely worth it."
"Second time trying soul food but first in Florida. I'm glad I tried it. Food was okay. Did enjoy the cornbread. It was sweet!"
"This eatery was recommended by a local person who picked me up from the airport. I was brought here by a member of Central Metropolitan CME Church. I ordered the Oxtail plate with mac and cheese and green beans. Yellow rice comes with it. We had sweet tea to drink. I was pleasantly surprised at the deliciousness of the food. The Oxtails were super tender and flavorful, complimented by the yellow rice. They tasted like how I cook my own back home in Memphis. The mac and cheese was savory and cheesy. The green beans were rightly seasoned. I was doubly pleased with the portion sizes. When I got back to the hotel, I told everyone I knew about this down home soul food establishment. I will be back."
