Allgood's Used Books and Coffee

"I am looking to potentially move to the Chattanooga area and this place caught my eye! Used books and coffee?! Yes please! I spoke with the owner/operator while I was ordering. She told me that her grandmother opened the store initially for used books, but those don't pay the bills (!) so when she sees people finding books here instead of just coming for the coffee that makes her so happy! There's lots of space and many different seating options. I recently started writing a book and this is the perfect place for that- or any work that needs to get done. Plus, $5 used books are a deal! I ACCIDENTALY got 7....and a latte. I'll be back for sure!! I put that I spent $1-10 for the coffee but I did buy 7 books. Just wanted to clarify!"

"This is a sweet little bookshop! We ordered coffees and enjoyed them. We did not order any food but others did and it smelled heavenly. It is a quaint store, but I liked that. The offerings were not overwhelming, giving time to dig more deeply into the selections."

"I love Bookstores, so on my trip I found this one...great bookstore and Black owned. The owner, Jacquelyn, has a servant heart. There are books just for reading, a children's area, chairs for relaxing, tables, etc. She offers coffee, tea, breakfast and lunch selections. She promotes artists of all types and hosts small business events."
