Northside Primary Care, INC - Dr Aazrum Syed

"Im 29 and had joint pain in my wrist so i came here. they charged me for lab tests for arthritis. I waited and they came back negative. Then they told me to schedule a meeting with the doctor to discuss the results, I asked for a phone meeting. They called me today for the meeting and charged me 30$ before it started, and told me to wait for a phone call. I was at work and had to take a break to give my card details because she said i couldnt pay later or online. Then i finally get a call that went like "hi sir your results came back negative for arthritis how are your joints?" I said "i already know my results were negative why am i being charged 30$?" "Im not sure let me talk to the lady upfront" I get a call back 10 mins later "We cant do anything about the charge" I just told them take my money and ill never come back..thats bad buisness and at the end of the day I feel ripped off and like i had been swindled. So if i could give 0 stars I would. The people there were rude from the beginning for claiming I was 2 hours late but I was only 5 minutes late, come to find out they got my name mixed up with another patient. They were unorganized and spelled my name wrong for my lab tests and i had to wait for new paperwork, then when i got calls from them it felt unprofessional like "umm what was this call for again?" When they are calling me... or when they couldnt pronunce my lab results and just said "they all came back negative" after trying to read me the specific test results. Apparently theres an online portal but they never showed me how to access or set up an account..so to me it seems like they charged me 30$ for no reason and refuse to refund it but at the end of the day id rather loose 30$ then have a doctors office that treats patients like how they have treated me. EDIT RESPONSE TO OWNER: I never recieved any text reminder for a televisit, even though i specifically asked for a reminder so that is false. And it is rude to tell a customer they should know better. You could have easily told me you would call about my results and post them on the portal and if i had further questions i could then set up a 30$ televisit to discuss the result. Instead yall waited until right after i gave 4 viles of blood to tell me i NEED to schedule a meeting to discuss the results. Its greedy and repugnant and your response has indicated that I need to contact the BBB and the medical board. Instead of hearing my complaint and making it right you accuse me of not knowing how telepay and copay works..."

"I went in to take a blood test specifically for iron because I’m vegan and made sure the receptionists as well as the nurse and nurse practitioner were aware. A few days later I received a call from the blood test center that they neglected to pick up half my blood to test and asked me to re-test because the results were not complete. I really hate needles so that was extremely upsetting to hear. Talking to the the lady further, it was revealed I wasn’t even tested for iron which is the specific test I wanted. I’m not sure how they could have lost my blood test but it is extremely unprofessional and I won’t be returning."

"I have been a patient of Dr. Syed’s since 2016. She is professional, knowledgeable, informative and listens to her patients. If there is an issues she believe is better addressed by a specialist, she does not hesitate to make a referral. She, also, is very prompt in answering or clarifying any questions or concerns via the patient portal."

"My dad has been an established patient of this facility. We like Dr. Syed because she’s very accommodating and she’s really a good doctor. The two stars that I gave is for the waiting time, my dad waited for almost two hours for two consecutive appointment. I just wish that they be more considerate in other people time."

"On my first and follow-up visits, Dr. Syed patiently listened to my concerns. Medications she prescribed me have immensely improved my condition. Her staff is also polite and professional. I’m glad I found this practice."
