"I had a pretty extensive surgery back in March at Piedmont hospital. I have kidney disease and my regular doctor doesn't go to Piedmont so I saw the nephrologist who was making rounds that first day who happened to be Dr. Ramasamy. I have a host of issues including kidney disease, alopecia, osteoporosis, DVT and several more. I have been dealing with all of these issues for about 3 years now and they all seemed to come on at the same time. Of course, each time I saw one doctor they would refer me to another. When Dr. Ramasamy came in she said- we need to look and see if there is a bigger picture and maybe these are all somehow related. She said she would review my entire chart and pick her brain and see what she could come up with. The next morning she came in and asked me about my nutrition- which is less than desirable. I don't eat seafood, drink water, eat fruits or vegetables (all of which every doctor I see knows) and she said- it's your nutrition. If you're not going to eat right you need to at least be drinking Ensure every day. Since then I have been drinking the ensure as instructed as well as taking all of the other medicines she recommended and my labs have never been better and I actually have a little hair growing back albeit only on the right side of my head- but after going completely bald I will take that as a step in the right direction. She has to be the most caring doctor I have ever seen in my life- trust me I have seen just about every kind of specialist there is. I only wish she saw patient's in the clinic and not only at the hospital. Everyone should have the opportunity to see a doctor who cares so much and doesn't just want to pass you off to the next specialist."
