College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving Jasper

"Update 1/19/24. We won our lawsuit against them, the owner Omar refused to respond to anything so he has 30 days to produce information or now he’s going to jail. Update: Omar the franchisee is now bullying us and threatening us by calling the police saying we are threatening him by calling him out on social media. Unfortunately, telling the truth is not threats. He is in breech of his own contract trying to deprecate all value of our items. We tried very hard to negotiate with them and originally they wanted to come take the old items to “sell them to recoup cost and sell the items including mattresses” (which is illegal in Ga to sell a used mattress) which we agreed to. But, now Omar is trying to say he will cut a check for a small amount we can’t purchase the rest of the items for and that’s it. But, i guess he’s decided not to even do that and we are left with a soiled, ripped mattress, and our 20 year old son sleeping on the floor. Even tried saying our mattress was defective when they used the positing handles to drag it through the mud after they took the plastic covers off which they under contract had to keep on until the mattress was on the bed. He has now ceased all contact except to send threats of police and will not pay for the items damaged by negligence except for 2 items even after we paid extra for 20k of coverage. Items that were dropped and dragged through the mud! Witnessed by several people. Our attorney will now have to get involved along with the Public service commission motor carriers division. Absolute worst move we have ever had! Have hired 4 other movers out of Atlanta area and gave this one a try from recommendations. BIG AND COSTLY MISTAKE. We now have over 12k in damage to our personal property and our yard. They left a mess for us to clean up. Garbage all over our yard of both houses. Took drinks out of fridge after we supplied them food and cooler full of drinks. Ruined yard after they got a truck stuck after being cautioned on leaving a truck parked where they did. Boxes were clearly marked and each room was marked but boxes were left randomly. Lost all hardware for multiple pieces of furniture that cannot be replaced. Dropped brand new front load washing machine in mud, dented it. Dented 5,000 refrigerator. Let plastic bag come off 3000 mattress and drug it through mud by repositioning straps instead of picking it up ripping straps off mattress and ripping holes in mattress and getting mud all over mattress. Ruined newly painted doors in house and walls. I watched as the lead guy picked up by himself on the truck part of my brand new sectional we just got after waiting a year for and dropped it on the corner leg and now that area of seating has given way and you can hear the support wood underneath moving! The list goes on. "Stress free" NO! I started moving items by the time the evening came because the cig breaks kept getting more frequent. Don't hire them! We are now having to chase down and call customer service multiple times to files claims. No help from franchise owner or customer service."
