"Circle Camps is a week long overnight camp for girls who have experienced the death of parent by: creating an enjoyable & supportive environment that enhances their creativity; empowering them to become more aware of their thought & feelings; encouraging them to share their memories orally or through art with compassionate volunteers and friends they trust. As a result of this unique opportunity, the girls feel less isolated, more resilient & confident, and hopeful for a better future. I am honored to be a volunteer at Circle Camps. My two oldest attended Circle Camp in Maine the year after their father passed away, and their younger sister joined them the following year. Circle has given them a place to share their story in a comfortable environment. They have grown from Campers to LIT's to Counselors and even a Nurse Volunteer over the past 11 years.
