Top O' the River is an independent family owned restaurant located at 3330 McClellan Boulevard in Anniston, Alabama. Since 1982, we have been serving the finest catfish and seafood in the area. Our farm raised, grain fed catfish is our specialty and our seafood is delivered twice a week to ensure freshness. With additional locations in Gadsden, Guntersville, and Michie, Top O' the River continues to provide hearty portions of food cooked to order and made fresh daily. Our unique menu items like fried dill pickles and mustard greens set us apart, and our commitment to excellent customer service is unmatched. "Wonderful takeout experience. Very kind and professional. The broiled catfish, veggies, and cornbread are delicious. Compliments to the kitchen and Amber for assisting me with my order. I'm disabled and wheelchair bound, so having the convenience of sincere, compassionate help with my order is very much appreciated. Amber is a wonderful woman, and I understand why she's on the team. If the entire team has the same integrity she has, then y'all are blessed with a team of All Stars (& Angels). I don't get to enjoy a meal prepared outside of my home very often. When I do, I usually carry out because it's just me and my dog, Gizmo. When I call to ask if someone would kindly bring my meal out to the car, I'm usually met with an attitude or notice a "convenience fee" added to my receipt..even after informing the restaurant that I will gladly leave a tip for their help, because it's the right thing to do. "Probably some of the best catfish I’ve had this side of the Mississippi. The hush puppies are sweet and crispy, and pro tip is to put the pickled onions in the greens. It’ll unlock a whole new experience. Todd also provided excellent service and was patient with our party."
"While on a day trip, we passed through the town of Anniston, AL, and found this restaurant after performing a quick Google search of the area. We opted to split the Riverboat Special between two of us, and it was enough food and then some! We ordered our catfish with fries, and they served it with hush puppies, cornbread, cole slaw, and pickled onions. The pickled onions were delicious and paired perfectly with the hush puppies! We really enjoyed the catfish, as it was crispy and tasted very fresh. Whether you live in the area or happen to be passing through, this is a restaurant that's definitely worth checking out."
