"Love these guys. They're polite from start to finish, and I never feel rushed. They listen to my daughter. They listen to me, they give me options. My last place was on the Northside campus, and it just felt like a factory. Get you in, get you out. Give you a script. Not these guys. They know me and my kid. They know her file. It's personalized. It's great."
"My daughter will be 16 in 2 weeks and I’ve been bringing her here since she was a few months old. I have 16 years of great experience with this entire office! Now that I have another baby (after 16 years) I had no hesitation to her her here as well. It’s been so long since having a baby, I felt like I was starting all over again, anytime I have any silly or simple question, I know I can call them, and a nurse ALWAYS calls me back to talk me through it and decide what’s best. I’ve never had any of the issues that others stated about having to call the insurance company myself when my children are sick. They’ve gone out of their way to squeeze me in on a Friday at 5 o’clock before with the sick baby. So, yes, almost 16 years of a fantastic relationship built here. I cannot recommend them enough. P.S. Stacey is who I take my girls to (unless it’s last second for sickness and Stacey isn’t available). She’s a Nurse Practitioner and just absolutely fantastic, I don’t know what I’ll ever do if she leaves!"
"I give one star because 0 is not an option. I came from up north where we loved our pediatrician. After moving here, I feared I would not find another. We were told about this Dr. office and I hated it from day one. We were treated like a number in bingo ball. Any Dr. that could see my daughter, saw her. Notes were never really kept as each Dr. never seemed to know what the previous one did the year before. My final straw in making me leave was on year, we were told BY THE DR. that she didn't need shots. Ok. Why being a first time mother, would I know differently. The following year, we go back and I got yelled at, YELLED at by the Dr. because she didn't get her shots the year before. When did it become the parents fault if kids don't get shots? It's not like I said don't give them, I was told she didn't need them. FROM THEIR OFFICE!!!! After giving them a few choice words of my own, I never went back!! I highly, highly recommended you looking elsewhere. I have since found a better place where they actually care for my girl!"
"Our son's birth date was wrong on our insurance policy, so when Georgetown Pediatrics attempted to process the information it showed that it was invalid. Rather than call to verify, the receptionist gave the card back for me to do it. EVERYWHERE I've ever been, if there's a problem they contact the insurance company. I called and fixed the problem. Meanwhile, they took my son back to do the preliminary stuff (weight, height, etc). My insurance representative wanted to speak with the GP receptionist, so I tried to hand the phone to her, but she refused to speak with her, and in a gruff tone told me to tell them they have to fax a hard copy confirmation that my insurance was valid. My insurance representative said she could email it (but not fax), and the GP receptionist said she could only accept a fax. The nurse who took my son back came into the lobby with an irritated look on her face and told me I need to come back to where my son is in one of the waiting rooms, so I follow her back. She told me that they were very busy and rolls her eyes at me as she closes the door behind her. After seeing the doctor, I had to pay with cash, and now I have to process a claim with my insurance company. I'm a very nice, polite person. These people are rude and lazy. This isn't the first time. Previously, my son had a bad infection under his eyelid. Overnight, it almost swelled shut. I called at 10am to come in that day, and the receptionist said they had nothing available that afternoon, so I scheduled an appointment the following day. By that time, his eye was swollen shut and looked like a golf ball underneath. The doctor asked my wife why we didn't come in the previous day, and she informed him that the receptionist said they were booked. He told her that they had availability all afternoon. We're done with these people."
"We just had our first well-check. We are new to the area, and we have 5 kids. I have tried another office here - and this place is GREAT! From the moment we entered to the moment we left - I give them an A+. We even had a finger poke with my 9 year old - no tears and then a pop-cycle. I felt like we were treated with kindness and respect. Cant wait to move my whole family over to this office. We saw Stacy the NP and really liked her. Very clean - nice place for kids. Movie to watch - very small sick area would be the only con, but at least there is one."
