"I live in Massachusetts so when I needed to hire a mover to pack and move my son's apartment from Kentucky to South Carolina, and needed it to happen the day after he graduated from college in Tennessee, I called Hometown Movers not knowing what to expect but from the very first phone call they put me completely at ease. They were friendly and professional and handled all the details."
"They were friendly, courteous and most importantly followed the guidelines I had given for special considerations on the delivery. I live in the country on a very small curvy road so I requested trucks no longer than 26ft. The whole thing went very well."
"The entire process was very smooth and positive. From the moment I had called to inquire about services of the moving company until the moving was complete. The moving crew arrived on time and they were friendly and accomodating. I will use the services of Hometown Movers again!!"
"After two moves with Hometown Movers from Eastern Kentucky to Lexington, including a piano, I highly recommend this company. They send enough personnel who are careful and pleasant to work with, and the office responds promptly to communication."
"Hometown Movers helped me move on 11/1/2022. I had a great experience with Hometown Movers and would repeat business. Here's why: 1. In a rural area, good help can be hard to find. You want movers who you will not feel any need to micromanage. I consider peace of mind an investment and Hometown Movers delivered in this regard. In other words, Hometown Movers' work was reflective of their positive reputation online, so you can trust this and other reviews if you're considering contracting help from Hometown Movers. 2. In my experience, the biggest problem contractors have in this service area is good communication. This is the root cause of most business problems and Hometown Movers wisely does not suffer from this self-inflicted wound, which creates a good customer experience. I had several questions leading up to the move and 2 different Hometown Movers representative worked with me via email and text to resolve my concerns reasonably, promptly, and mostly through my preferred communication method (text). 3. As I mentioned in Point #2 above, the biggest problem contractors have in this service area is good communication. When a building contractor suddenly pushed my move-in date back a week, Hometown Movers worked with me on rescheduling and did not penalize me financially when they probably could have. In a tough economy, especially when a service provider knows a client might not have many viable options from would-be competitors, many businesses will show zero grace to the customer and this deserves to be celebrated. 4. The movers arrived promptly and were very thoughtful. They were aware of my moving plans, which were to move from Site A to Site B to Site C, and the movers did not procrastinate so as to gouge me on hourly rates (meaning that the movers held to the estimate). When a vehicle of mine suddenly had a dead battery, the movers even helped me push the vehicle into Site C along an uneven grade. The only downside was that my quote included drive time to Site A and drive time from Site C. However, this is reasonable and probably an industry standard. I also was required to have 3 movers when probably 2 would have sufficed. Again, however, the third mover seemed to be supervising and gave some legitimately smart feedback (like not lowering the truck's loader in a way that would press/crack new concrete — although it did accidentally happen once and some small cracks did follow), so having a third, supervisory hand was not bad per se. Hometown Movers also was somewhat on the pricier side but, as I said, paying a dollar more for reliability and the peace of mind that comes with it can really be worth it. To be clear, I was not compensated in any way for this review. Check out Hometown Movers!"
