"Beware - they will charge additional fee for Northside Hospital Facility plus it does not count as specialty office visit."
"I had a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Mohan Krishnamachary at Suburban Hematology Oncology on June 20th at 3:30 pm to review/discuss lab results I received ten days earlier that showed levels of abnormality. I was anxious to hear from him what the abnormalities meant because when I Googled them it said it could be potentially signs of Multiple Myeloma. I got on line at 3:25 pm using the link sent to my cell phone from his office at 3:16 pm. I waited in the online waiting room for more than an hour and no one came online. At about 4:45 pm I called the office to complain about waiting and conveyed my dissatisfaction to the person at the front desk who took the call. She said she was transferring the call and the call dropped. I kept calling back and finally was connected with someone who told me that Dr. Krishnamachary got on the telemedicine call at 2:30 pm. There was no message on my cell phone from him and I also checked my house phone and saw there were (2) calls from his office at 4:35 pm which were in response to the calls I made complaining about waiting online for more than a hour. The person I spoke with apologized for what happened and said someone from his office was going to call me to reschedule the call. It has now been (8) days and I have not heard back from anyone from his office to reschedule and I still don't know what the abnormalities mean. Needless to say I am extremely upset with the unprofessional way this has been handled and am looking for another doctor."
"Very hesitant to continue care here based on the new patient coordinator I've been assigned to. Due to dropping the ball on paperwork, an appointment I had scheduled for today was canceled at 6:30 pm yesterday, after the referring doctor's office has closed, so I wasn't even able to try and rectify the situation on my own. The coordinator is uncaring and unkind. Hopefully the rest of the staff will be better?"
"The office staff and nurses are very friendly and have been helpful every time I've interacted with them. My doctors are always friendly and seem to genuinely care about my health. I usually get called back for blood work pretty quickly and the wait for the doctor is about average for any doctor."
"My husband is being treated here. We waited a long time for the office to process a prescription for his specific cancer drug. Then there was a mix -up and confusion about its delivery. My main concern with the nursing staff here was that I was given mis-information about the drug. I was told that it had been mailed out several days earlier, but it was not. I had to make multiple phone calls to Walgreen's before I received the correct delivery information. All the while, my husband had not been able to start his chemotherapy, and the tumor cells were growing and reproducing a a very fast rate. In my opinion, this is inadequate patient care."
