"I thought about making this review for a long time Only because I trust God and I know God changes things I worked at the ark for almost 9 months I want to clear things up and clear my name first I am not the ark enemy I show up for 6 days on time and did my job I prepared awewome meals I prayed with them and I keep a listening ear The ark has a great group of guys that need encouragement and guidance I left because things change and my household change So I needed different hours begin pay once a month and sometimes not on time I could no longer deal with it My bills got behind trying to catch up My girls needed me more as things change in our lives So that's clears the negative narrative about me I had already explain to the boys why I was leaving I didnt trust anyone lying on me or about me When you Speak about me please tell the truth Ms West told me everything about you guys and your pass Plus she told on me but contiune to let me bring snack and see the boys I saw them November and December She is not loyal to anyone she is the problem Not me Now to the good part I have been blessed to have a passion for children The job showed and taught me a lot The foundation of the ark needs to be changed The kids need more to do They need a meal that will fill them up They need guidance and a listening ear They need id's and a job When they leave at 18 They have nothing The program needs to be updated for the new generation Set them up for greatness What worked in 96 its not working in 2024 Ms Kelly nor staff never came at me disrespectful Mr Deas did implement somethings for the boys and spends time with them That's was a blessing More activities more community service can be done outside of the house The overall program need to be revamped for the further boys that enter the home The biggest thing is showing and teaching real love and that you care Even if they are there for a month or 5 years Teach them what they didn't get at home I not here to blast just to clear my name and express my thoughts Trust God and change God sees everything"
"That place is hell I would never want nobody to go there miss Kelly is so mean and rude and have to ask to use the br and ask for toilet paper you can’t go in your room the food you get there is like prison food and they give you so little food I was trying to live with someone that used to work there and she quit and they hate her for that and they kicked me out of there because they don’t like her they do not care about the kids there.there was mold in my closet for months and they just covered it up and said they fixed it their is roaches everywhere and rats that group home needs to be shut down.you never get to go no way you go shopping every eight months when people steal in there they don’t do nothing Ms west let Ms Brown come see us November and December She brought us snacks Ms West told in January and got me kick out Ms Brown was one of the best staff they had She pray with us and for us She feed us good Plus asked about our day As a teenager that meant a lot to us every time we had food or turn on the lights we had to say thanks miss Kelly we sat in the house every weekend and went on a outing every 6 months When we went shopping we got one outfit We got hair cut every 3 months the serving of food is of a pre schooler they made me think that my parents and my sister died"
"This place was a nightmare because they didn't care about none of this client's because I got really sick for almost 4 months and they didn't do nothing about it instead of not taking me to the damn hospital that why they don't care about anyone else instead of them damn self"
"The working experience was extremely terrible when I was there. Mrs. Kelly is NOT a nice person AT ALL. She will instruct you to do something, you comply and then states that you don't listen. Working there was like holding my breath for 8 hours a day. Once I left the parking, I could exhale and go home crying due to toxicity. I hate the way they administer the drugs to the kids with very little therapy. I usually don't write reviews, but this is by far the worst place for foster kids, adults, and employees alike."
"Came up from the ark but you can call it prison, where the staff be in the kitchen cooking chicken, but it's not really chicken ain't no finger licking, release me from this prison man the clocks a' ticking They put me on these meds got me geeked up, they think that I'm depressed I'm just f***ed up Just wish that i could go back home, they said "your parents don't love you" i said "yes they do you're wrong" So many different things being told to me, help me god cause i don't know who to believe, bad things and worse things about our family, even my social workers were talking badly But i will never forget one thing, that one thing is from where i originate, that's what makes me who i am today, everything happens for a reason but that's just fate And i... Came up from the ark but you can call it prison, not gonna say it twice so you'd better listen, wouldn't recommend the ark but since then I've risen, call it reserection back at home I'm living -Esteban Santos If you are reading this, i hope you remember me. I wrote that from the experiences i had living in Ark Ricky Holmes. It was longer, but i shortened it for the sake of having you read the hole thing. The Ark changed me i think for the better, BUT i can think of one recommendationl: i know you can't afford to feed all the kids you care for feasts, but i suggest you bump up the meal portions a bit. For example: give the kids two peices of chicken. I remember once when Ms. Kelly came to one of the homes and gave us two peices of chicken, but the staff say the rules are one"
