"Great place to live. Quiet, friendly neighbors and great front office staff that are always helpful. No place is perfect but they work real hard to make this the best they can for you."
"Save yourself the headache and don’t lease here. When you move out, they will charge you an absurd amount of money for fees because of “damages” that were left on the apartment, when over half of these will be very petty and minor “damages”, pretty much normal wear and tear that comes with living in an apartment. I was being charged an absurd amount for when there was very minimal wear and tear on the apartment overall. Other people have left reviews stating the exact same problems I dealt with while moving out, so be weary of that. I suggest taking video evidence of the ENTIRE apartment after moving in, and before moving out. If you do this, make sure to include the little things, such as the ceiling fan operating properly, because they tried to tell me our ceiling fan didn’t work upon moving out, when it did. 2 weeks prior to me moving out, there were dead baby cockroaches littered all over the stairwells on both floors, so I’m almost positive there was some sort of roach infestation. Along with all this, the apartments themselves are very run down and outdated, while half of the floor boards in my apartment creaked very loudly when we stepped on them. Your electricity bill will most likely be very high because everything is poorly insulated. The old property manager apparently doesn’t work there anymore, so hopefully things at this complex will turn around for the better. He also left a 5 star review about the leasing office after he left, which is very weird and seems unprofessional."
"If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. I took on a sublease from a previous tenant that was known by management to have been messy and caused damages to the apartment, but my roommate and I were assured by multiple people in management that those damages would not fall on us for payment when we moved out. We were also assured they would go in and do cleaning before we moved in because they knew the people before us left it in such a wreck. This, of course, was not the case and trash was left inside the apartment, as well as outside. We had to do our own cleaning to make it even livable. Matinence took months to respond to broke AC Units, and also left broken units outside of my apartment, from other apartments for months. Upon our move out, they attempted to charge us over $1600 in damages, and when trying to dispute these charges they stopped responding to us. In addition, the positive reviews they have on here are written by their own management teams to boost their ratings, because they had gotten so low."
"I've lived here for the past few months and couldn't be happier! The staff is so helpful when I need something fix in my apartment or just have general questions!"
"All the negative reviews you will read are true, but I didn't listen. Apartments are not well maintained and some don't even have air conditioning. They will charge outrageous "damage" fees when you move out even if there are none (close to $1500). They charge nearly $500 to "paint" even when the walls aren't damaged or scuffed. $500 to clean... $100 to shampoo carpets that will be filthy when you move in, so clearly they just pocket that money. There are countless other reviews documenting the same situation. They don't prorate and will charge you a whole months rent for 1 week and kick you out way before the 12 month lease time frame. The whole property has fleas and there's cockroaches in the stairwells. They send eviction threats for as little as $5 on your account (even though I was told I could pay it with the next rent). The maintenance people are nice but not very good at their jobs. The sinks back up filthy water and it's poorly insulated so your electric bill is high. My first week living there, a new tenant used their key given to them by the office to enter my apartment (they mistakenly thought it was their unit). Me and my guests watched the deadbolt turn from inside the apartment. They gaslighted me when I asked them to change the locks because I didn't feel safe. If you bring your concerns to them, they are rude and condescending because they have obviously never done anything wrong. In fact, they will likely leave a rude, invalidating, and gaslighting response to this review; as they did to others. It seems like they are just taking advantage of young college kids who don't know any better. Unfortunately; their greed, incompetence, and animosity casts a negative shadow on the town of Radford."
