"The campground is right next to Hwy 81 bridge so you can hear the traffic at all times. The sites are tiny and barely kept up and many did not have a fire pit. There were several long term residents who leave junk around their trailers. There was an old couch sitting out in front of someone's trailer and one site had a pickup truck in front of a trailer with a bed full of beer bottles. I'll The store was minimal, and had some video poker machines so there were sometimes shady people hanging out in the store. The only good thing was that it was right on the New River but the traffic noise overshadowed that."

"Highway noise but that is to be expected if you look at the map. Bathrooms atrocious (no TP, toilet covers soap) would not shower here under any circumstances. On the plus side, next to the river and convenient stopover. Sites no way near level."

"This is such a great place.. for locals, especially! The water is slow enough here that you can paddle up toward the dam if you only have one vehicle and idly float down. It's just as beautiful as the new river ever is! I feel like the scene must initiate inspiration and appreciation to the vehicles passing by on the interstate above. I haven't bought anything from the convenient store in years (not that the double revolver toting sales specialist deterred me) but the hotdogs here used to be completely and notably delicious! What a blessing this place is to our community!"

"This was much to be desired. First they need to get rid of the filth, most of the campers looked like they had been their for years with no up keep. When we arrived the store owner informed us that our site was not available because some of the sites were taken by individuals working on the pipe line. Moved us to a different site which noticing on the website was actually cheaper, without compensation. The guy in the camper next to us was a MAJOR alcoholic, the front of his camper/site was littered with beer bottles, beer cases. The bed of his truck was full of beer bottles and other trash (surprised he hasn't been pulled over for this). As we started to unpack we noticed that the faucet for tap water was missing a plug on the bottom so we couldn't hook up our hose. Went up to the store and the owner told me I could use the camper next to us faucet because he never used water TMI (gross). His faucet was doing the same thing. Thankfully the camper on the other side of us let us split off and use their faucet. The bath house was absolutely disgusting. No one has cleaned that thing in YEARS. I-81 is literally right on top of you. DO NOT STAY HERE."
