"Scammers. Be careful who you take advice from when vulnerable. DBT is a beautiful skill set. While I highly encourage both DBT classes and counseling, DO NOT GET YOUR COUNSELING OR TAKE ADVICE FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They employ young and inexperienced college grads that are compensated well for sending people to halfway houses regardless of whether it’s needed or not. THEIR COUNSELING: As an adult, my mother came to me and apologized for having ever sent me to this horrific scamming place. She was mortified after the fact. I saw Amy Eisenman as a young adult. She was not kind. She was rude a good amount of the time. She ridiculed me, made the things I confided in her personal to her, would constantly make comments about being jealous of my family’s money, and literally yelled at me anytime I was late (in addition to charging me and refusing to see me that session as a “punishment”) instead of just being professional about it and calmly communicating. She constantly tore me down in a condescending manner. She was what taught me that you can and should filter your therapists and not be afraid to fire them. Educate yourself enough on mental health to recognize red flags- even in therapists! Many people go into psychology to learn more about their OWN problems. A healthy counselor does not simulate an empath/narcissist relationship!!!! Watch out for Amy Eisenman! THE SCAM ASPECT: Despite my sober lifestyle, they recommended sending me to a VERY expensive halfway house with addicts who I could not understand. They told my mother that she should send me there “to teach me how to budget”. You don’t teach a sober person how to budget by placing them in a house with newly recovering heroine and cocaine addicts!! This is not “healthy”. It is a blatantly obvious ploy to take money!! They took advantage of my mother being vulnerable during a divorce (her words) and took as much money from her as they could until she caught on. They did not personally help me despite their ABSURDLY HIGH prices. (They up charge sooo much. Anywhere else dbt is $25/class for the EXACT SAME material, setting, exercises, and notes…also most good multi decade experienced counselors -familiar with BOTH dbt and cbt- will work on a sliding scale bc they actually care and aren’t so insanely greedy. Some even go as low as $35/hr without insurance depending on the circumstances), however they DID introduce me to DBT which is a super helpful program that many many places teach and is fully available online!!! PEACHTREE DBT ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY. They will say ANYTHING to get it. Listen for the rhetoric and fallacy sales tactics in the way they even talk. Go to dbt and counseling!!! JUST GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!"

"I've been a client at Peachtree DBT for several months now and I'm extremely pleased with both the individual therapy and skills classes, as well as the phone coaching. It can be difficult to find effective mental health care in Atlanta, especially for more complicated therapies like DBT, but this practice has done really well in my opinion. I'm also a client at Peachtree Psychiatric Professionals, and there is a great synthesis and collaboration between doctor and therapist as a result. Overall, it feels like a team is taking care of you and cheering you on."
