"Amanda Mayo is an incredible Counselor. She is extremely talented, smart, and empathetic. She is trained and very skilled in EMDR. We are currently working through my traumas, and I will say, although the memory does not go away, the disturbances from the trauma do. It's amazing how much better I feel when I walk out of her office. She always provides resources for me to use when I am not in a session. I have learned to cope and accept the past because of her. She is very knowledgeable on mental health practices and did I mention smart already?? She is very intellectual and wonderful to conversate with about your past and current mental states. She helps me identify triggers, coping mechanisms, and external resources to continue my healing journey in a positive manner. It is very therapeutic and cathartic working with her.
