"This counseling practice is incredibly disappointing. One is not able to directly contact one's therapist and instead, only can go through the office manager, Anastasia. To not be able to contact one's therapist not only doesn't aide in establishing therapeutic rapport, it feels as though the therapist really only cares about seeing you in session and being paid. I have never encountered this before with any therapy office. The therapist I had I went to for EMDR and she was still reading the instructions as to how to implement the modality. This was highly unprofessional. The therapy was incredibly 'office like' and not a space that is comfortable for therapeutic purposes. The lights were incredibly bright, no comfort factors at all. It felt like a business meeting and not a comfortable setting for therapy. This practice is still figuring out what they are doing. Do not come here if you want a personal experience. You will be treated like a number and completely overpay for a therapist who supposedly knows how to implement certain modalities and are still reading the instructions in front of you, not knowing what to do next."
"I came to the office as I was close by and do not live in the area. The sign on the front door asked to ring the doorbell for assistance if you did not have an appointment. I rang the door bell (during regular business hours) and I was met at the front by Anastasia who said she was the office manager. She immediately asked me if I had an appointment and I said no as I was researching for counseling and work close by. In the middle of the waiting room she began to ask me personal questions!! Such as to why I was wanting counseling etc…. I told her a brief summary and already just felt so uncomfortable about this Interaction. This was unprofessional to ask me such personal questions IN A WAITING ROOM. Luckily no one was waiting but regardless I have NEVER been approached likes this in an office setting. She then asked me if I was able to research the couslers from the website and if I was okay with a “person of color” … what!?! I was so taken back .I said I’m fine with that but I would like to have a session with Sue. She then asks me “have you had someone close to you commit Suicide” …I was dumbfounded. She is the office manager not the counselor and these Should be questions that the therapist asks. Period. I’m here to give you business and I already explained that I researched and would like a session with Sue. She escorted me to her office to make an appointment…her office was so Disheveled and dirty. So many books and papers on the floor and her desk. Mind you, this is the “office manager” they are suppose to be the face of the practice. Continuing this awkward encounter I made an appointment with Sue. Sue did call me for a session but I was so encredibly turned off by Anastasia and her lack of professionalism I told her I wasn’t comfortable at this time with counseling. She was very nice and understanding. I only wish Anastasia was not the one I had met initially and maybe this would have changed my Opinion about moving forward here."
"Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have found this place. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly. I love the aura of the facility. While you wait for your appointment, they have a massage chair & different self care activities that you can do. My counselor is Nyambura and she’s beyond amazing. She has really changed my idea and thought process of what counseling is to what it should be. She pays attention to you, very patient, and she does different helpful activities to help you sort out your mind and really break down the things that you’re going through. Every session is something new and you never really know what to expect. I live close to an hour away from this facility but this is the only place i want to be and feel comfortable with. It’s worth the drive and i look forward to coming here every week! I wouldn’t have it either way."
"I love this Counseling facility. The place is brand new, so it is clean and and extremely organised. Jessica is amazing, as I have been seeing her for over a year and she has been a lifesaver. I recommend this facility for anyone that is interested in working on their mental health."
"I really love this place. Jennifer is great"
