"I'm very disappointed with my experience with one of the counselors there. I asked about EMDR for my PTSD symptoms which have reappeared after new incidents last year. I have had successful EMDR therapy from a provider in Florida 7 years ago and talk therapy doesn't work for me but re-traumatizes me. I was reassured that Anna Lisa Derenthal has extensive experience and completed additional training. We talked about my background a little beforehand and during my first appointment. There was no EMDR but she assured me my next appointment we'd start with EMDR. I paid the full $180. The next visit we just talked some more, about my background and history, which put me in such a bad state that I had a really hard time driving home and working the wheole week. No EMDR but paid the full$180. I was really bad driving home from.the first visit and she knew that. She did say we would start EMDR at least at my 3rd visit but towards the end changed her mind and said on more talking visit!!! I would have never agreed to see her had I known that! I had 2 excellent EMDR therapist in Florida who never let me get in a car in that state and actually did emdr at each visit! When I confronted her, she offered to refund me my $360 but that didn't happen. I paid $360 to re-experience every painful thing in my past and didn't receive the promised treatment that I came there for"
