Fayette Counseling Center

"My physician has concerns that I have acute anxiety, and urged me to seek counseling. I was unable to reach anyone at the Fayette location, so I left a message. The only positive thing I can say is that the call was promptly returned this morning. However, after the brief interaction with the woman who called, I would never seek help from this facility. She spoke to me in a very curt, flat tone- asked me why I called (despite my having stated in message that I was seeking an appointment). She literally acted like it was an inconvenience to speak with me. She said they don’t do appointments, it is a walk-in clinic. That’s fine, but it’s not for me- so I told her that I wasn’t interested in that, thanked her, and hung up. If whomever runs this facility is reading this, please consider the following: When someone is calling a mental health counselor, odds are they are experiencing emotional or mental strain. Be KIND. Be FRIENDLY. Don’t treat people who are reaching out for help as if they are infringing on your time, or annoying you. You have absolutely no clue what that person may be dealing with, so be courteous. I hope that your counselors are more engaging than your phone personnel- otherwise, you are not helping anyone."

Walton has literally saved my life and always provided amazing treatment. I am so thankful for this place and the people that work there that care so deeply for thier patients."

"Worst counseling center ever. Therapists are untrustworthy and are replaced so often it’s hard to actually get treatment. I do not recommend at all, this is a disappointment to counseling centers in Fayetteville, no wonder all of the therapists quit."
