"Old school iron gym! I was an out of town visitor and was welcomed by the staff for a drop in fee of $15. Got a great workout without the hassle of a corporate membership. Will return."
"I came in from out of town and was able to drop in for a powerlifting session. Super friendly and helpful staff and plenty of equipment. I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area!"
"If your looking for a old school Mom and Pop gym with a bunch of rules this is your place .. Equipment is old but in good shape and they have all the basics you would find in a 90's power house type gym.. prices for memberships are a bit higher then what I would expect for the lack of amenities they offer but still not a bad place .Staff is basic and trainers are cheap compared to industry prices. You get what you pay for. All in all if you want to throw Iron with that Home Town High School gym feel then check them out."
"Due to COVID hotel gyms are closed so I needed a place to workout during a week long business trip. I’ve been going to gyms for 25yrs and this one is one of the best ones if you’re a dedicated hardcore weight lifter. Weight equipment is solid, numerous, and have a great staff that’s knowledgeable and will take care of you. Don’t come here expecting to do lots of cardio as that equipment is limited."
"Well equipped. Here's my story and some constructive criticism. As a new guy, the second time I went, I parked across the street because the gym side was full. In the lot across the street, spaces along the office building are marked as exclusive parking to that business, but there are no signs for the ones along the bushes. On my departure, the gym owner's wife came out very upset, informing me that I can only park there after 4:30. Said she told me before, but I really don't think so. My bad, won't do it again. The 3rd or 4th visit, I asked for a pen from the office and grabbed one of the two from the sign-in sheet, as well as a business card, to log my lifting. This resulted in a talking to about how business cards are expensive and the issue of people not signing in if there's no pen, even though I wouldn't have taken the pen if there was only one. On my most recent visit, I was deadlifting with bumpers in the Olympic room. This is bad. My first day there I had asked about a sign that says "absolutely no deadlifting..(etc)" because she said bumpers are okay- not steel plates, and bars are marked for no deadlifting in the Olympic room. I had also seen other folks do clean and jerks etc and asked specifically if DLs are okay with bumpers, and they thought it was fine. The room is full of Olympic lifting stations, after all. Soo, my most recent time I was in there deadlifting with bumpers by myself and she showed up very upset, asking if I was deadlifting. Saying she can't trust me, and that kids built the lifting platforms so they can't hold up to dropped weights. I had deadlifted in that room every single time with no issue until then. Looked to me like she was about to cry. This all has made be feel pretty dumb. I like the other guys that work out there and have tried of be respectful of the gym and the folks. I unfortunately won't be coming back because of my experience.. the drama is stressful, even though I'm typically pretty zen. Please type the rules on a piece of paper and go through them all on the first visit."
