"My wife and I attended an introductory firearms training session with Aaron Marko and I was deeply impressed with his abilities not only as a marksman and martial artist, but also as an attentive instructor. Aaron went through all aspects of gun safety and made every member of the class comfortable with their firearm. His instruction began in a classroom environment were he went over the parts of a handgun, proper handling and safety, and then covered the insurance aspect that one may need should they discharge their weapon at a threat. Once the classroom portion of the training was over we went to the range where we could but what we had learned into practice. We worked on stances, addressing the threat, presenting our firearm, and then discharging the weapon. Aaron put a lot of focus on the mantra of, "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast." We also learned the correct method to reloading our handguns before and after firing. The class culminated in a a smooth-draw contest. A few days after the class, a certificate arrived in the mail certifying we had taken a handgun course that would be sufficient to qualify for a concealed carry card with the state of West Virginia that may allow you to carry in several other states. In all, I would STRONGLY recommend Aaron Marko and Critical Response Training to anyone interested in becoming a better handgun owner.
