Conquistador Restaurant 2514 South College Street, Auburn, AL 36832

"Blew me away!! As soon as we walked in it was nice and simply decorated with some nice Spanish looking decorations, and all of the servers were very attentive and helpful with looking through the menu. For our apps we got the octopus salad and the chorizo fries. The octopus in the salad was perfectly cooked not rubbery and the vegetables had a nice crunch and crisp. The fries were nice steak fries with some nice cheddar cheese and smoky chorizo on top. For our main course my party and I got the Tierra board. It had a whole assortment of different meats on it and I must say it was one of the best things I have ever had. The ropa vieja was the star though (the one on the far right of the picture). It was nice, sweet, tangy and really flavorful. I must say Conquistador is one of my favorite restaurants of all time."

"Ammmmazing..... Conquistador Restaurant Delicious food, exquisite service, great atmosphere, and some of the best & friendly staff in the area. Portions....more than enough. Ordered the smallest board and literally was enough for 3 if not possibly 4 people. The food was definitely different and a great asset to the Auburn/Opelika area as far as different foods go. Joy was very helpful and explained everything that we ordered. She definitely went above and beyond as a server, host, employee. She even gave us a tour of the upgrade and told us about the upcoming changes....looking forward to them. Restaurant was clean, and had a very relaxing feeling to it. Will be back for sure. And can't wait to try out their other restaurants and establishments."

"We decided to try it out on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and inbetween lunch and dinner. What an amazing restaurant! My mom had not had paella for 50 years and couldn't wait to try it. 10 out of 10 on the food, service and atmosphere! We also ordered drinks that were outstanding! "Amazing food and service!!! Within minutes, I was transported back to Spain. The food is incredible, the best food in this town for sure. We got a board to share which had a little bit of everything - octopus, shrimp, shrimp sliders with an amazingly delicious mango sauce, short ribs, chorizo, steak with chimichurri sauce, and more. Seriously, this place is the hidden culinary gem of Auburn. I am also very happy that they are open for both lunch and dinner, as there aren't many option that serve good food for lunch. Can't wait to go there for dinner, especially, on either Wednesday or Friday night when they have live music."
