"We have been at Luma since my daughter was three. The teachers are so kind and gentle. They let the kids be kids and have fun AND they learn to dance. My daughter has won several competitions and danced in the Nutcracker under their training!"
"Luma is Amazing. All the teachers are great. Kids love the classes from Acro, dance, ballet, and legends."
"Luma is such a nurturing, wonderful dance studio! Our daughter absolutely loves being challenged by the amazingly talented teachers. This is her 8th year dancing at Luma and enjoys every minute of being there. I can’t recommend Luma enough and would give them a Million stars if I could!"
"The owner of studio interested in one thing, money, they could care less about your child's growth in dance. The vibe is very competitive and not supportive. Think Dance Moms. I enrolled my child in a dance program at Luma after a long hiatus during the pandemic. I asked if the class would be an appropriate level for my little dancer and they assured me that the class would be perfect for her age and skill level. After 3 weeks the studio owner contacted me to say that my child was struggling and should be moved to another class that they were opening for another age group because the one she was enrolled in was skewing older. I had chosen the particular class because it fit into our schedule. The program that they were opening was on a different day and did not work for out schedule so I told them we would jut have to find another option elsewhere since the class option no longer accommodated our schedule. I told them I was happy to pay for the three classes that she had already attended, but since they could not provide service to us then I would like a refund for the enrollment fee. This request resulted in the owner saying my child could just stay in the class, but what parent in their right mind would keep their kid in a class where an "expert" has said that they are struggling and should be moved into another level. The owner refused to give me my enrollment fee even though they had no classes that fit our schedule and then backtracked and said my kid could just stay so therefore they did not owe me a refund. This studio owner does not care about your child or their progress in an artistic form so do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. We probably dodged a bullet not staying here. We absolutely love Georgia Dance Conservatory and I wish I would have gone there first."
"My daughter dances here and we love the instructors and owner. It's a friendly atmosphere with a lot of talent! Whether you dance for fun or want to compete you can find a class here. The end if the year recital is fantastic! They also did a great job in COVID with small class sizes and mask wearing. Thanks Luma!"
