Antojo Cocina y Cantina

"Update: Went back for lunch today. To be lunchtime (noon on Saturday) I was surprised that the place was not busy. The food, service, and atmosphere were just as good as the first time. I got an appetizer (and ate one before taking the picture) that the waitress recommended (it was kind of like teeny chicken salad pita sandwiches, but better), and empanadas. I got the passion fruit juice to drink Everything was excellent. Will definitely be back. Original: Checked Antojo out for the first time yesterday for dinner. We were thrilled that we were seated immediately. The service was great and right on top of things. We had the chips with trio dip (salsa, cheese dip, guacamole) as an appetizer and enjoyed it. The guacamole was very fresh avocado and didnt have a lot of other ingredients in it, just good simple and fresh. The salsa was different than most places. It was a blended puree instead of small chunks and was neither too spicy nor too bland. There was an almost smokey flavor so i think they might use some chipotle peppers, which was a nice touch. We got mini tacos and empanadas as our meals. We were very pleased with all. I loved that the empanadas came with 3 different kinds (1 shredded meat, 1 all cheese, 1 cheese and black bean). They arrived hot and delicious, and came with a tangy mayonnaise based sauce that i enjoyed dipping my chips in too. The mini tacos were a good plate too and was a nice presentation. We got mixed steak and chicken and both were delicious. I love the mexican style with the cilantro and onion and lime. We opted for flour tortillas though and everything was delicious. Definitely repeatable. The nice atmosphere lends to a nice date night location too. We will definitely be back. Service was fast and excellent."

"My husband and I came here for the first time and it took us by surprise how amazing everything is. The sauce for the tequeños is outstanding! My husband who was born and raised in Venezuela loved everything about this place. Me as a Mexican, I can’t wait to come back and try all the different foods and cultures in the menu"

"Servers took their time preparing already cooked food and had people waiting in line but still decided to take a video of their presentation/setup. Also the Chicken & Steak were dry with hardly any seasoning, Tortillas were all stuck together, they brought out cheese (1/10), rice(3/10), beans(3/10), cilantro & onion(8/10) but NO Salsa & NO Limes. This was my first experience & food was catered, I'd give the catering a 5/10. Recently ate at this restaurant, best part about my meal was the Chorizo Cheese Dip. I had the Enchiladas Verdes with Rice & Beans, safe to say it was a bad decision, tortillas definitely came out of a plastic bag, sauce on the Enchiladas was almost flavorless but the agua de horchata & chorizo cheese dip were great. Our server was also polite & quick. dining in experience was a solid 7/10"
