"Women's Care is an absolute disaster. Google needs to update the review process to included ZERO stars. Their sole motivation is not the health and wellbeing of their patients rather how they squeeze every cent out of you. I have had over a dozen appointments at the Apollo Beach location throughout my pregnancy and as I approach the 38th week I will not be returning for the "mandatory" weekly appointments. They lead with fear-mongering and outdated information. I've had VARIOUS issues... but here's the straw that broke the camels back.... On December 8, 2023 I had an appointment with Dr. Den Haese and was told my next appointment would be in one month and it was the growth scan- exciting right?? SO for an entire month my husband and I looked forward to the next appointment taking bets on the size of our baby... On January 5th my husband and I went in for this long awaited growth appointment. When the ultrasound was being performed the tech seemed rushed and wasn't providing any specs out loud to us so we asked. She responded that she was ordered to just measure fluids not the baby. WHAT?! So we get in front of Dr. Granger after the ultrasound and he walks in informing us that "Dr. Den Haese has really bad handwriting"... UMM okay what the heck does that mean to us?! WELL the front desk schedulers MISREAD his handwriting from our appointment in December and only scheduled for a fluid check and left off needing the baby measurements as well.. Ok super annoying right? I called the billing department MULTIPLE TIMES regarding this issue as I felt it was UNFAIR that I had to pay for another ultrasound due to THEIR ERROR....Well it gets even more annoying. They never called me back with a solution and I have called and spoke to several billing people and left several messages prior to having the ultrasound on 2/2/24.... trying to get ahead of the charge. Still waiting for the "supervisor" the call me back. Ridiculous. So, I go back on 2/2/24 and get ANOTHER ultrasound and find out today (2/13/24) the billing department actually FRAUDULENTLY codes the extra ultrasound as the following "02/02/2024 - Follow-up ultrasound of a pregnant patient's uterus in order to monitor any abnormalities from the previous scan" WHICH IS AN ABSOLUTE LIE! Per Dr. Granger I have an "on paper perfect pregnancy" no Gestational Diabetes, negative for group b strep, I am not overweight or unhealthy etc..... literally ZERO issues. This is absolutely wrong and indecent. This group is solely motivated by money and does not deserve to continue operating. I am extremely disappointed and cannot stress researching WHO you trust with your pregnancy journey. As an additional note... this office smells of fast food.. every time I've been in for an appointment the nursing staff is indulging in Mcdonalds or Dunkin... Or having a lovely smoke break in the parking lot.. Epitome of health huh? This place is certainly not worth your time or money. RUN FROM THIS GROUP!"
"1. Appt set up - poor. Although it is the same group they have different doctors and consider you a new patient. They have access to your records among the different groups but they do not carry out treatment from a different office/physician of the same group. 2. Office cleanliness and atmosphere - Very poor. The office does not appear up to date and the staff seemed chaotic. 3. Check in/pre-Dr: Very easy and you are able to do online paperwork. The lady who took me back was very nice and personable (A+ for her bedside manner). Issues - I would've appreciated discussing my history behind a closed door and not right near the hallway where the patient giving blood a few feet away could hear everything (and I could see everything happening with her). Also, it had been 2 yrs since my last annual and I was told they only want to do 3 year annuals even though my PCP recommended I see the OBGYN. I got a bit of slack for that but not as much as I received from the OBGYN. 4. Visit with the OBGYN - mediocre. I explained that my PCP wanted me to update my annual (due to other concerns that were explained) and also carry out treatment that this group recommended previously. I came with the referral and even asked the physician if they wanted the document for their records. They declined copying or acknowledging it really. The physician seemed reluctant in updating my annual (although they did carry it out) or carrying out treatment that another doctor from their own group recommended. The physician never reviewed my previous ultrasound to understand why their physician reordered it in the first place until I asked about it at the end of the appoint and on my way out. The Dr. reviewed and was on board with then scheduling it. 5. Check out - poor. I was told that I was unable to schedule for the date I needed because the physician is not available that day to do the ultrasound. I ask if another physician can perform it and the young girl told me that they want patients to stay with only one provider. I asked her if the office was in the habit of refusing to provide patient treatment due to this policy... it took me asking that for her to go back and approve the procedure being scheduled with a different provider. Final thoughts: At this point I was beyond uneasy and opted to not schedule the treatment. It should not be this difficult to have an annual update wether it be 2 years or not (and especially because it was recommended by PCP) nor should it be difficult to carry out treatment recommended by YOUR own group!! If only one event happened I do think I may have ended up liking the OBGYN in the long run but there were too many red flags at this office and unfortunately it makes the physician look bad too."
"Don't bother calling unless your pregnant. I was informed by a rude secretary they only see currently pregnant women. If you have your baby, expect to immediately have to find a new OB since this one will no longer provide services to you."
"Scheduling, reception, and the practice manager are the worst. Both this location and Brandon. They hound you to show up for an appointment when their times are not feasible for someone who works full-time. I have tried to make accommodations and when I show up I am referred to the hospital. Quick to turn the blame on you and argue VS trying to remedy the situation. Currently 36 weeks pregnant and they cannot get it together. It has been such a hassle and stressful. This practice has truly gone downhill."
"Like this office much more than the Riverview Women’s Care. Much more professional and short wait. I plan to change over. I was disappointed to find I would be considered a new patient."
