Roxi Perkins: Allstate Insurance

"I would give this agency a ZERO rating if I could. I asked for a bid to add car insurance to my homeowners policy, and Ms Perkins said she needed some information, which I sent. I never heard back, so I contacted her again—she said she never got the information (but the email was delivered). I gave up on that. Then, I had a roof claim—it was not easy dealing with the representatives—one woman was extremely rude. Then, it took a long while to get reimbursed for the claim. This past June, I began receiving notices that my policy would no longer provide extended coverage for roof surfaces because of the roof’s age —I sent all the required documents to show that my roof was replaced in 2021 (and, as stated above. Allstate handled the claim!). Just this week, I received the SAME notice! Apparently, Ms Perkins doesn’t have time to open her mail! This is the worst, most unresponsive insurance agency I’ve ever dealt with. I’m changing agencies ASAP. Enough is enough!"

"Auto policy continually increased every renewal to the point of paying 1300$ / 6 months to cover a SINGLE 2011 accord ONLY. As a result I moved to State Farm which was less than half the auto premium, and asked Roxi to cancel my policies. Via email she asked me for the end date, which I gave her, but then she never responded to any follow up email afterwards. Communication has always been an issue (hard to reach by phone, bad email communication skills), and I never actually got a confirmation that the policy was properly cancelled. The day before the scheduled end date, I called the main customer service number directly, and the person there noted that my policy was NOT in pending for cancellation, and he was able to immediately schedule it for cancellation the next day as I wanted originally. Interesting how after one week of communication with my personal Allstate agent, I get no confirmation nor can I find any evidence that my request was completed. But a single call to a customer service representative in some outsourced call center is able to fulfill my request in 15 minutes. Before you go with Allstate, make sure you've shopped around first."
