"It's an MLM"
"Primerica may potentially be a good business, but the leadership I experienced was atrocious. My trainer gave inadequate instruction on how to perform well in the business. Every time I asked him a question for clarity or brought up a potential problem, he would disregard it and make it out like I was merely trying to be difficult. My father allowed my disgraceful trainer to present to him for my training purposes. The ONLY reason he even got a policy with my trainer was to help me get started. He already didn’t like that my trainer didn’t really answer any of his questions and that he instead just kept repeating the same rehearsed lines over and over again. He also didn’t like that he NEVER received any documentation on his policy before they started taking his money from his bank account. Later I decided I had had enough of the foolishness and poor leadership and I was going to leave. My father also decided that he wanted to cancel his week-old policy, since I was leaving. He no longer had any interest in doing business with Primerica since it would no longer benefit me. I informed my trainer that he wanted to cancel his policy. He assured me through text (which I still have) that it was being handled, but he was very unprofessional about it. I felt threatened and insulted when he said: “…I will have to put that on your credit report. Because normally chargebacks are paid by future business that the agent will do. I don’t think it’s fair for me to have to pay back that charge back when I was there to support your business and now your parents are not trying to keep the policy not because it’s not a good policy I’ll [sic] because they don’t understand how the process works. But it will be cancelled!” He then messaged me the next morning saying: “OK the request is in for your dad’s policy to be cancelled and finalized immediately. In the meantime, he monitor his mail Or bank account for that return. Thank you” Disregarding the unprofessionalism he exhibited throughout my time there, I decided to wait and see what happens. I never saw the chargeback taken from my account for the cancelled policy or the aforementioned impact to my credit. Additionally, my father never saw his refund for his cancelled policy. Even though things did not happen as promised, we both decided to just move on, accept the unjustified debit to his account, and let this be a learning lesson for both of us. Several months after that, I saw a debit to my bank account from Primerica, but it wasn’t the chargeback! I had to call to figure out what it was and why I was still being charged by Primerica even though I THOUGHT I was no longer affiliated with Primerica in any way! I figured out it was my fee for remaining an agent with Primerica! I told the lady I was no longer an agent with Primerica and I wanted nothing to do with Primerica anymore. That’s when she informed me that I had to submit my resignation in writing. I was NEVER told by my trainer or anybody else that I had to submit my resignation in writing. I’ve been back and forth with emails to and from the coding team and the billing team trying to get this resignation submitted and get refunded the $25.00 that I was wrongfully charged for being an agent. I’ve yet to be refunded the $25.00 and my father still has not received his refund for his cancelled policy. This business has swindled us out of our money, but I have received a confirmation of their receipt of my resignation, so I expect no further issues with Primerica. I just want it to be known that I absolutely do not approve of or recommend this company to anyone, as a customer or an agent."
