Elsie's Daughter 1404 Rossville Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37408

"What a great little bistro! We stayed in the train cars at hotel chalet, old, 1940s Pullman cars located on tracks behind the hotel, it was a rainy night, and our train car was 50 steps from Elsie’s daughter, a restaurant highly recommended by the hotel. It’s a bistro style, lots of small plates, a full dark wood bar with amazing bartenders. The restaurant has an outside seating area. If the weather is nice, but for us on a rainy night, it was nice and cozy inside with the dark wood and real candles, flickering all around the restaurant. We had several small plates that were absolutely delicious, the collard green salad was so tender and so delicious, the pale with pork Ragu was excellent, as well as the crushed potatoes. Maya, at the front reservation area, who took our reservation and also served us was superb, so professional. She helped us with our wine choices, which were spot on. Excellent wine choices by the glass. Some places give you lower quality when you purchase by the glass, my wife and I like to do so so we can trade and compare and then you can also switch wine styles, you’re not stuck with a bottle, so having a good selection of good quality wine by the glass is very important and Elsie‘s daughter did so. The food, the wine, and the service was absolutely wonderful!"

"Elsie’s Daughter absolutely nailed it! Bar, indoor seating, and covered outdoor patio each have a distinct vibe. Limited menu but everything we tried was a 10/10 and there is something for everyone. They also have some incredible cocktails and an IPA brewed exclusively for them. Overall vibe is low key and perfect for small groups or date night. Seriously, a unique spot for Chattanooga. Main consideration for locals is this spot is reservation exclusive right now, so plan accordingly and you won’t be disappointed."

"Wasn't aware of this bar and probably walked passed it 100 times without noticing the entrance. I think it's supposed to be that way. Cool atmosphere, great bar and drinks, not crowded, great service. Didn't try the food, but will go back for sure. Great location to have some food and drinks before catching a comedy show nearby at The Comedy Catch, or after dinner drinks in the area. Recommend for sure!"

"We had such an amazing first experience at Elsie's Daughter! The space is beautiful, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food and drinks were delicious. If you like Rosecomb, you'll love this spot. Even more exceptional was the service! Our server, Laken (I may be spelling her name wrong) was so kind & friendly. She was very knowledgable about the menu as well and gave us great drink recommendations. I ordered a dish and didn't realize until after that it had an ingredient in the sauce I am allergic to. Without me asking, the manager, Jess, sent out a new dish without the sauce and told me all of the other dishes that had the allergen in it which I really appreciated. Overall a great experience and I was so grateful that they went above and beyond to make our date night great!"

"Very cute spot, small and intimate venue. Decent bar space. Food is very good with great gluten free options. My garbage phone missed the best entree's but trust when I say they were delish. Would come back again. Would also be a good first date spot if you wanted to impress."
