"My experience with Peoples Health has been less than stellar. Primary care visits in network are supposed to be a zero dollar copay for me, and yet they always find some way to make me pay a $35 copay. Their OTC division is not any better. I've had issues with every order I've placed. The last order I placed was on July 9th; one item shipped but the rest haven't as of today, and no on can tell me why. The best answer I can get, even from a supervisor, is that someone will eventually research the issue and then call me back in 3-5 business days. They won't cancel the rest of the order; they won't do anything to expedite shipping on the rest of the items in the order. I've run out of some of the items - Benadryl, Tylenol, and toothpaste - and unfortunately I'm having some really challenging financial issues right now, and don't have the funds to buy them elsewhere. I trusted Peoples Health - again - when I shouldn't have, and now I'm paying the price. I will be switching insurance companies during open enrollment in October."

"My first time using the eye care portion of people’s health plan. The coverage is kind of bass awkward s insane. They allowed 500$ for some frames??? For the lens which is the main reason to have eyeglasses they don’t cover most of the cost. So I needed no line bifocals at Mcain Family Eyecare … eye exam covered…. Frames up to 500$ covered… the lens I needed after exam were going to cost me over 400$!! WTF… I ended up not getting what I needed and still paid 150$ .why not cover the lens which is what matters and a lower cost frame … at my age I need to see … not look like Elton John. On top of this I couldn’t find a single eyecare place in Leesville LA that would accept the coverage … had to drive to Lake Charles LA. To find one place that would. A full day of travel and frustration to get a pair of glasses??? Wow. Good luck y’all. I do however highly recommend Mcain Family Eye Care! They are awesome. Loved the visit! Sorry I truly do not understand why you would cover frames for 500$ and have to pay last that much for lens??? Please explain why other disparity."

"I loved this Ins I have had for 3 years until now. Even signed up 3 family members with my agent. I have ordered the catalog 4 times, for medication and supplies that they pay $65 quarterly for. Just called again mailed out 11/7/22 but new criteria will be 2023. I am reviewing other Ins companies at this time to change to a company that will fulfill they promises."

"This is the worst experience I have ever had with an insurance company dealing with Peoples Health. The long term facility where my father is living now does not accept Peoples Health and I needed to disenroll him in order to get the traditional Medicare so he could receive the medical treatment he needed. I have been given the hardest time by this agency with little or no cooperation. It’s clear to me that Peoples Health doesn’t care about the standard of care a patient receive. My father can not receive any medical attention needed because of this. No one should be given such a hard time when they are trying to do what’s best for their love one. The process should not be this difficult. Everything that was required was submitted and when I called to get the status I was told it wasn’t anything she could tell me. Your representative Maria T is horrible and have poor customer service skills. I wouldn’t recommend Peoples Health to anyone. Your first objective should be what’s best for the patient and not your pockets."
