"THANK YOU !!! To all my instructors. Christina I absolutely adore her very professional and understanding. She also make sure you understand the material before moving on and Same goes for Darell, Brandon, & Ben. NOW….. for as much money as you pay to attend this school it’s very much basic, The amenities are garbage. They are very disorganized .Every week I attend the school it always something The equipment terrible(if you are in a large class not much practice or drive time because of all of the rotation), you have to walk and be outside in te cold outside in all weather conditions. Each instructor teach different they stress that you get your hours before you start but once I got that I was told that hours don’t matter I started December 4th -23rd got pushed back to graduate Jan 10 because of issues on the schools end.The is a fast paced hands on learning program which is good but it’s over rated and over priced. Would I recommend not highly unlesss you have no other option but the job connections are decent.a"
"Good school but if you don’t understand one of the manuvers they really don’t want to work with you that much. Really struggling with alley dock but the whole week on yard only didn’t get to practice it because every time it came my turn to do it it was break time. I just feel that for the 7000 that I’m being charged I could have gotten more time in."
"I had the pleasure of attending GDA in Columbus recently and I'm glad that I took advantage of the opportunity. From the front office to the yard, I became more confident in my abilities because of the knowledge and encouragement I received from every individual. This is the Harvard of truck driving. I encourage anyone interested to attend the Columbus location and you will leave more informed than ever. Even the company I currently work for respects this school as the Premiere School of Learning. Thank You All!!!"
"No complaints in the driving portion. I had a good feeling on driving. However the first week in class is a complete joke. You sit in a classroom with an instructor just listening to a computer read the manual. Was not productive or helpful whatsoever and total waste of time. You have to pretty much teach yourself. You can't ask question because you don't know what anything even means. They get away with not teaching by calling it an "accelerated course". It's a pathetic excuse to not have to teach anything. Complete waste of time and money. Not to mention the instructor was just rude the whole time. Being prior service I'm used to cocky people but this was a whole new level to the point of being ridiculous and unprofessional. Anyone looking for CDL training you're better off anywhere else."
"I drove 156 miles round trip daily to take their manual CDL-A course. First week I was able to do online which saved me $$$ in fuel. Instructors were very knowledgeable and the one (Geno) who spent the week with the 3 of us students was awesome! He showed us everything we needed to know to pass the skills test. Every piece of advise he shared with us was spot on! The truck we used for training had 30K of concrete in the trailer and was 3 feet longer than the trailer we test in. We were prepared for the worst case. I highly recommend the Columbus Georgia GDA school!"
