"Me being a student at this school, I hate it! The other students are always fighting, yelling, and being inappropriate while the teachers just sit back and watch, giving no more threats than a step. In my opinion and my experience, these are nowhere near studious or respectful. A 6th grader's innocence will be ruined in just a few hours in the establishment."
"So excited to be a part of an incredible movement. Dr. Thompson and his staff holds our kids accountable, by placing the students needs first. Every decision that is made he ensures the safety, and the education of Northbrook kids are first. It is an privilege to see the kids respond to him in a positive way. He attends kids activities (when invited), he's approachable to both parents, students, teachers, and staff. Lastly, hes not afraid to shake a student hand and have a conversation with them. Keep up the great work NORTHBROOK!!!"
"So,the good teachers include Mr.Savoie, Mrs.yoon, and Mr.scrugs. The students here are disrespectful that don't know proper manners. The lunch was processed and disgusting. I would not recommend this school to anyone who wants an education. Most teachers treated me like I was just another "student". There was a lot of pressure to be smarter instead of being kinder to your peers and the students around you. Finally, the black tiles are a terrible idea and make Northbrook really feel like the warehouse it is. From, Students that care."
"It sucks that some people have had a bad experience at this school. I've found that if you act fine, you generally don't get into trouble or get steps. This school has only just been made, and setting the expectations too high is also unfair. It's important to give it some time to develop and progress, which requires patience and effort from everyone. Considering how new it is, Northbrook is doing excellent. It already has many activities like Beta Club and intramural sports, and a majority of the teachers make sure you know your stuff. Dr. Thompson also does a good job motivating students. I've liked all the teachers I've had, but I do have some friends who aren't happy with some of their teachers. You can't expect every single teacher in any school to be exceptional, and you can't expect everything to be perfect, because again, this is new school and teachers are human and everyone is a work in progress. Lunch isn't the best, but it has improved since last year, it tastes good and it's filling. The library needs to be developed, but that will take some time. Events such as Turkey Trot and "throwing a water balloon at the principals" are really fun! Lastly, a quick shoutout to some of my favorite teachers who've made my time at Northbrook memorable: Ms. Yoon, Mr. Scruggs, Ms. O'Brien, and Ms. Tuthill."
