"I began researching makeup academies in March 2020. Industry Makeup Academy was the very first school to pop up on Google. I reviewed all the information on the website and even sent direct messages on their Instagram page. I received quick responses to all my questions. My virtual tour was May 11, 2020 with Jasmine. She made me feel comfortable about asking whatever continued questions I had. After the tour I was confident in making the decision to pay tuition for the 32-hour weekend course. I was so grateful that Industry Makeup Academy let me book the May 2020 class even in the midst of COVID-19. IMA implemented safety and workspace guidelines for compliance. Ironically, I was the sole student for the May class but I enjoyed every minute nonetheless. Renelyn Thomas is an amazing instructor and represents IMA with professionalism and industry knowledge. I wish I had met more students and staff, but I could not have enjoyed my experience any more than I did. I was so nervous but Renelyn assured me every step of the way. I was already self-taught, but knew I needed to attend IMA for in-depth makeup classes. I learned everything from sanitation, skincare, color theory, industry marketing and men's grooming!
