"My child has been taking violin lessons from Mr. Gregory for 2 years. Beginning instruction in her mid-teen years, she had no prior experience on the violin and no knowledge of how to read sheet music. Some would consider this rather late to begin music lessons, but Mr. Gregory's teaching style and knowledge has been instrumental in my child achieving much within this time. Under Mr. Gregory's instruction she has excelled in her performance skills and musicality. Her confidence has grown and she has had opportunity within the Glissando Music School to participate in recitals (during COVID restrictions the School provides recital opportunities via video conferencing so that the students don't miss out). Mr. Gregory is personable and professional and it is apparent that he is genuinely invested in his student's musical development. He clearly sets his expectations while inspiring the student to achieve. For almost one year, my child's instruction has been virtual, via video conferencing, so that we may comply with COVID guidelines. The virtual instruction has gone extremely well and has not hindered my child's instruction--this speaks volumes for how well Mr. Gregory teaches.
