"Very rude staff, specially Ms. Lesa Johnson. This is the kind of person that need to retired or go find herself another job. She is disgusting, on the phone or via email, she sounds the same. Her behavior, while addressing a simple issue about the release of my son during the last two days of school was just childish. I had to write a letter to the board of directors and the principal of the school called me the next day, apologized for her behavior and solved the problem. Although she didn't sound very enthusiastic while talking to me, but the problem was solved, which is what matters at the end of the day. However, this Ms. Less Johnson had to, I guess, have last word and went beyond the rudeness and emailed me, "by mistake" telling her boss, "why you apologized, we do not feel like we did something wrong" meaning the staff. How dare she. After I emailed her back, of course always with a CC for Dr. Sharpe, telling her to stop harassing me and to get over it, she send me another email telling me that she was sorry I got that message. Simple, the rudeness of Hamilton County schools have to be review. Someone must do something."
"I'm currently a senior here and over 4 years I've been going here there's been a scandal 3 out of the 4 years but it hasn't effected my education at all. When looking for schools my family focused on education not the news coming out of the school. The STEM program is fantastic, I've been in it all of high school and 80% of kids who are in the program pursue a field in engineering or something computer related."
"I am truly broken for this community. Clearly, there are issues that have never been addressed in the school, sports, churches, etc... to flat out tell these children that these actions are wrong and life altering to themselves and potential victims! Tougher laws, with immediate actions need to be in place. Children like these 3 will never be helpful in society, unless they are truly sorrowful, and take responsibility and punishment, THEN be the poster child of what comes next in their lives. Yes, they need prison time! When people are "let off the hook", they become scout leaders, clergy, teachers, coaches. These are NOT the people we want around our young impressionable children. After prison time, put them on a platform to teach others about what happens to offenders. They need to preach THEIR TRUTH! They are not, nor will ever be innocent again!"
"Great school! The marching and concert bands are the best around! They have been to Disney, Macy's (2 times), Chicago Parade, and now in 2017, they are going to the Rose Bowl Parade! Academics are also very high, they are an IB school, one of only two in Hamilton County."
"Great place to get public education in Chattanooga. Better than East Hamilton because of the IB program, friendly administration & staff, better sports programs especially football, and welcoming students. Emphasis is placed on morals and values, and education for the student's future in order for them to become successful. I would send my kids here rather than anywhere else unless you have a couple thousand dollars to throw away to private schools."
