"We absolutely love ACA! I have had two children there for two years now and I have zero complaints!"
"We have 2 children in the Academy and feel so fortunate to have found ACA 4 years ago. The education our children are getting is excellent. The curriculum is spiraling, which means that the teachers are constantly reviewing what they have learned in the past so that the kids master the skills. The Math and English curriculum are top notch, laying a strong foundation for kids to be successful in middle school and beyond. The principal is very involved in the school and always has the best interest of the children in mind. She sets high expectations for the teachers and is always available to both teachers and parents. The teachers are caring and passionate about their jobs and strive for each child in their classroom to be successful. Teachers are available 5 days a week for early morning work sessions for children who need extra support. If your child is struggling in any subject the teacher will communicate with the parent and child immediately and set up a plan to get the child back on track. The communication between the teachers and parents is awesome, as a parent you know exactly what your child is working on in school and their progress in all subjects. The school not only excels in academics but also in the spiritual development of children. Christian Ed, Character Ed and Etiquette classes are part of the curriculum, creating a well rounded child with good morals, ethics and beliefs. I would recommend this school without reservation!"
"Update at bottom of review... My review of Alpharetta Christian Academy is that they are decidedly average at best at least in the class that my child was attending. My first impression was lower than that because the initial meeting to describe the school was interesting to say the least. It started off with the person speaking going through my way or the highway rules as if they were the best and the biggest and brightest school on the block. I appreciate that it is their business and not mine so their rules are their rules, however this person was very uppity and you can tell very easily that she thought that her program was best and used how "secure" the school was as an example. Accoeding to their policy, you are supposed to leave check your ID card to ensure you should be in the building. However, in over two weeks of attendance I (an adult male) was checked one time. Policies are useless if not enforced, huh? Then we get into the classroom and learn that the material that was being covered was very basic material. I am not wholly familiar with the material covered by most daycares and pre-schools but this one was basic at best for the age group in which my child was. Couple that with an instructor who was unwilling to give any information about the material being covered or what was being done that day and I came off with a sensation that they were above me and my questions. At night, I would ask my child what he learned at school that day and all I drew was a blank stare. This is a child who is very excited about learning and always excited to tell me what he has been doing. We moved him to a different facility and every day since the move my child has had something to tell me about what he did in school that day. Lastly, something that bothered my wife although it did not bother me, was the fact that the artwork the children did while in class with actually completed by their teachers. I did not really pay attention to that but that bugs my wife because the artwork was perfect as if she had done it rather than a three year old. So, if you want excellent/child-made 3 year old fridge artwork, go somewhere else. I am giving them three stars even though it sounds like my review is overwhelmingly negative because I would guess that other basic take care centers are exactly the same. If you are looking for a place for your child to excel, then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to be able to drop your child off (an example a mommy's day out and don't want to spend a lot of money) then this place will work just fine at the facility is very clean and is very presentable and economical. Personally I do not mind paying more for my child to learn, which is what the final decision my wife and I came to. We moved our son to a different facility, and he has been happy ever since. UPDATE: Recently I received a letter from the school in regards to this Google review. I won't go into the contents, but I do believe it was the right call. I think it was a classy move by the organization and it does show that they care about the children which is something I think is something a lot of facilities lack. Also, by sending that to me, I think that it shows if they have a problem they try to work it out, which is all anyone can do. Also, the person who wrote the letter was the same person I mentioned in the first paragraph. To me, it is hard to read a negative review about yourself and respond nicely. She did just that. I apologize for being crass in the first place. As I now go back and read it, it came across as if I was taking a dig at the person while that was never my intention - I was trying to illustrate a point. I should have written the original review differently. I was wrong. ACA and the author of the letter - I appreciate the letter and appreciate your time."
